On my Endless file, I only took like the first publish because I already have all titles unlocked and I can just live off the funding unlocks that comes with those titles. Otherwise, I would probably have to use the publishes for income on normal playthroughs when unlocking achievements and titles. I like to think no one cares about the first publish but maybe even the first publish has a small debuff effect.
You can also target nerds as soon as possible. On my Agi/Dex/Mind counterattack build, I always target them first because they never attack unless they are mad and I need people attacking me to do counters.
oh wow I'm doing the same run! I love counterattack but I have few experience with the game (I lost once on floor 3 and did not carried over the progress for a NG+ I know I know.. my mystake, I was playing on normal expecting it to be a normal game lol)
so now I'm trying the secretary run and keeping the S level low not to gain too many passives is super hard, expecially on 3 waves of enemies where I get out of stamina or energy pretty quickly.
I think I should mix some endurance to resist the Lewd scenes from enemies who go for that and use agility for dodging/Counterattack the physical ones.
sigh.
if I can't clear L2 I'll probably just give up and do a Sloot run hoping for a NG+ boosts to do a quasi-pure one :(
But when you gain just enough passives to go into free mode, the best mind ability is the hear no evil see no evil speak no evil. The first two doesnt make you gain rate when ppl stare or talk about you and the third on drives all desires down to 0 provided you aren't a slut.
oh so I should do this run in a mixed way (allowing my S level to rise up) and then start the next one aiming for those 3 defensive abilities mhn
that's explains why even on easy difficulty I cannot get past some enemies, I either go full attack and try to counterattack but lose to S** stuff or I spend too much time and stamina to defend from S** stuff and can't down enemies or end up with raising my thresholds anyway :(
But if you want to do endless mode which only happens at free play, you have to gain some passives. Empress ending the just ends the game outright. I feel like the minigame passives are the least harmless so I start doing those prior to beating the final floor. You can check with the cat outdoors to see if you are empress ending or happy ending.
The endless mode is best suited for pure builds because its the fastest way to defeat enemies. The highest you can go is 50 waves but since endless mode removes game end, you can just let it riot and sleep the days away until you have every absolute beneficial edict like maxing all the stat edicts and getting the free meal for Karryn.
Prior to endless, you are fine with just doing only agi mind dex and not all the way as its just too expensive.
There are critical things you need to have:
- Upgrade your own bed and SLEEP IN YOUR OWN BED ONLY. The guard beds dont get the same buffs. This means there is actual twitch skills in this game where you actively avoid rooms you already defeated to go back and get your +3-+6% stat boost from well rested. This is important when facing new battles because you want to start fresh. There will be some days where you just grind some battles but you just do the easiest rooms which are usually the first few of each floor.
- Upgrade halberd. I like going defensive halberd route. I think offensive is for those that are not using agi builds.
- Get the enemy debuff edicts as soon as possible. I get the goblin one first asap. Then I grind a bit and before I do the room after the slimes in floor 2, I pick up the thug debuff so that thugs arent so strong. Same thing with floor 3 by going for the Rogue edict first then eventually the nerd one.
- It seems that for pure builds, the 2nd column is best for enemy debuff edicts. You want all in the same column because the orc debuff has effects if you choose all the same column. The only one I differ is lizardman as its bonus penalty is just extra riot chance and I like the 1st column debuff better.
- Get the right kind of accessories. You can look up guides on steam about this. I made one too but I think I just crammed in one night and just took a knowledge dump without much revision due to fact that I'm not getting paid for this.
- In the beginning, you dont want to masterbate if offered. But I think around floor 3, you kind of want all the stats possible and the sexually frustrated debuff is annoying. So that's where you should masterbate but dont like Keep masterbating if you do end up orgasming.
- Have high mind stat because you need to actively keep your desires under 50. Based on what desires you chose in the start of the game, you need the right accessory that lowers the desire of that. Butt and mouth are what I choose because theres a cheap accessory that lowers that.
But I know nothing for certain. ... glad to be so helpful
oh I see, so it's a debuf I'd get either way.
I was mainly wondering if the downside of publishing that I have sensitive bawbs for example would lead to everyone going for them (as a downsides to counterbalance the extra income) or they are 2 separate things. the nerds will mention my weak points regardless and the enemies will attack me randomly regardless of what my weak points I published are (unless nerds are presents)
I hope I got this right
The game is one of those types where "nothing is free". The dev even said some edicts were designed to be traps. That free money that entices you at the start will have a cost in terms of the nerds having harsher debuffs.
But again, I never did experiments or comparisons.
