UN- WISHLISTED.
If you are to add multiplayer, I'd like it to be board-game style, where the players are automatically assigned to one of the starting routes instead of being allowed to select it, but you do get to select the sponsor for your route.
If you've finished your current tile, it should wait for everyone else to finish theirs, and the inverse if you're taking longer than everyone else.
Turns in Road Battles and shopping would be timed, so that you don't waste everyone else's time. If you run out of time in a turn during a road battle, it ends the turn and moves on to the opponent's turn. If you run out of time in a shop, it closes forcibly and moves you to the next tile.
Running into another player on the same tile doesn't automatically start combat, instead it asks the prompt: "Do you wish to challenge this racer?" and if at least one player says "Yes", then combat begins, otherwise the battle is skipped and the racers go on their own separate ways.
If it is the last tile on the map, you will be forced into a battle with all remaining players to conclude the race in a grand finale.
As soon as all other players are defeated, it skips to the ending where you claim victory and enter the city.
In addition, I think if you were to add multiplayer like this, it should be competitive with a ranking system, granting points based on success in matches.
Multiplayer would have to be locked behind first unlocking at least two extra cars and two extra racers, so that you aren't too limited in your options if you wish to go head to head right away after buying the game, and so that players aren't so inexperienced that going straight into multiplayer detracts from their enjoyment with the game. It also would discourage making alts to smurf.
