Cloud save files dont match

Does the game not have proper cloud save functions ? because my 2 devices are locked behind different save files even though they are both "synced" and "up to date" ?

cloud saves not working

Been playing the game on my steam deck so no idea if this is a steam deck exclusive issue but cloud saves straight up don't work. its clearly backing up things though so I opened the cloud storage and one by one put all of the files where they were supposed to go. after copying every cloud saved file into my game on pc one by one and relaunching the game, it still acted like I had never played it. don't know what to do about it other than put all the files into a file storage service and grab it that way.

Is Cloud save actually working?

I played at work and finished a Tusk Tales run, then when I got home, it made me run through through the tutorial again.

Yes, Steam cloud is not yet available for the game. We're currently working on it with the team.

My save file was wiped today. I would assume it got overridden by the steam cloud, but I suppose not. Oh well, EA

Any way of restoring previous files or uploading local ones? I started up the game on another system on the evening of the 12th, and now that seems to have completely wiped all my progress (and put a zero progress save in the cloud).
