What does the loud bell sound mean?

I've noticed after playing a couple games, there seems to be a loud bell noise? That happens occasionally and I'm not sure if this is a clue that we're about to die or what.

I dont know but I know there's loud noises if you touch an object the ghost likes, or if its a poltergeist touching objects in general triggers it.

Interesting! I'll have to pay more attention to this.

I just know some times there's just a loud noise that happens and I'm always like "is this a count down??"

I think its the game trying screw with you. I've noticed the bell goes off the most when I'm holding back the ghost and it finally gives up hunting me. But at this stage your guess is as good as mine, same with that page turning sound, does it mean it wrote something in your book or wrote on the walls? It did it to me today and later I found wall writing so who knows.

I've noticed most of these sounds plays when the ghost teleport somewhere else in the house, and some distinct loud scary sounds when the ghost teleports right next to you or stops a chase.

I had the loud bell sound and right after he ripped the door of my truck and came in and killed me lol.

I only notice when the ghost sneaks up on me
