Report a translation problem
It is possible that you or your friend have an antivirus program (such as Norton, Avast, McAfee, BitDefender, etc) active.
Many antivirus programs have been shown to block the information being sent/recieved to Dissonance (our team voice plugin/module).
If that's the case, try temporarily disabling the antivirus, restarting the game with a new lobby, and trying again.

Next thing would be make sure you don't or do have push to talk on which I believe is V for local and B for RV, that's all I can think of RN
When i play with friend (he host lobby) during game, game stop recognize my voice. When I host lobby then game work fine, for me and him. I have only windows defender.
i allow the app to use the mic and before the Update it was ok and we tried with and without push-to-talk but nothing changed, we restarted the game if we did changes anything in the Options.
If it is muted it's identified by looking to the bottom left corner and the icon should be the microphone with a line through it, sorry for asking you to try things you probably already tried, just gotta check that box.
no problem and the icon show that the Mic is on. i will try to re-install the game and hope it
