I'm playing "This is the President" at the moment.
And LOVING it!
Does this make me a psychopath, or a sociopath?
You want to find out?

Hot ;D
I’m thoroughly enjoying this game and, to the best of my knowledge, I have never murdered or cannibalized anyone. It’s just a game, bud. People have been murdering other people centuries before video games became a thing. In fact this game is set in such a time period! Games don’t create murders and playing this one doesn’t make you want to murder.
Take several seats and calm down, Jack Thompson 2.0.
Honestly tho, when I tried the demo today I felt sick to my stomach for a minute when thinking about how bad is propagation / glorification of murder, many people will be negatively impacted by such type of games. And this is hardly the most worrying one.
The people you kill in this game are complete strangers, just like raw material for commerce. There is no humane or emotional interaction with them. They are basically just lemmings going to the slaughter. With this fact alone makes it easier to desensitize you from any emotional, humane aspects, while the core of what's going on is as gruesome as it gets. And you are trying to get away with it. Kinda like soldiers killing civilians, just doing their job. Are they still human? Honestly, who knows.
Anyway, the rise of this kind of entertainment, almost becoming mainstream we could say, the kind of entertainment that glorifies evil / murder is indeed worrisome from a larger perspective. Although I love horror and mystery entertainment, I know not all people see it as mere entertainment. The truth is that gaming is not for everyone, just as some ideas are not for everyone.
People need to draw a really thick line between fictional entertainment and reality, this ideology should be propagated more, in my opinion.
Yes, that's exactly what I was talking about, there is fiction and reality, but maybe not for every single one of us...
Actually I like the game, I mean the demo. It's intriguing, unusual. it's certainly not the only controversial game I played and enjoyed. After finishing the demo I'm curious to see how it continues. I'm not worried for myself, because for me the difference between reality and fiction is crystal clear.
I'm gonna get it on steam.
