mac keyboard bug for the game?

for some reason when i play union city, if i press E it brings up an emoji list which has never happened before. if i press D it makes a ding sound which absolutely confused me but i then realized its trying to activate voice command. cant turn these options off, dont even know what is causing these options to activate but they are absolutely useless to me. has anyone else had this problem?
