Hey, if the background is red, it means you are in the second dimension.
There should be nothing, unless you took your space station with you.
All mechanics should work the same, so you should be able to travel and find the next black hole.

I checked the screenshot, if the thruster is build directly on the planet it should start moving it.

i did not bring the space station with me since i wanted to start over in the 2nd dimension.
My problem right now, is that even though i built a thruster/engine (forgot its name) and turn it on and its facing AWAY from the planetoid, it follows/stays with me. even though my new space station is NOT connected to the planetoid at all.

so right now i cant leave it behind at all :D
and thats a big problem.

I kinda have a similar issue, made it to the 2nd level, left everything behind, started build on a planetoid, captured and docked with another one, so i recently tried to use the control panel and I move instead of the station

I think it has to do with the inability to create one of those little white flags that you see on your main base from your craft menu. If you travel through the black hole with your base, then middle click the flag, and place one on an asteroid, I'm pretty sure it creates a second colony, though I'm not quite sure how to "move" to the new colony.

If you travel through the black hole and build on a planetoid, I think you're still bound to the first colony. Using the control panel on the planetoid actually manipulates the control panel on the colony you're tied to, which would be the one in the other dimension. I'm betting if you travel through the black hole your main base will be in a different place too.

This is all theoretical though as I have not tested it. I might be completely wrong.

Completely wrong. I tried it with this setup and the planetoid moved and my other base was still there. Will test with a black hole with my base in another dimension in a few minutes.

EDIT: Well, I was going to, but I can't find my portal anywhere. I traveled away from it and apparently traveled so far it stopped listing it in the map.

i tried to use the control panel but i still cant get away from that planetoid. its like its part of my station though there is absolutely nothing that connect my actual station with the planetoid. and this is a big problem.

It seems like somehow the planetoid inherited the ID of the main base, or is ghost linked. I really don't know how that could have happened. I just spent the better part of half an hour trying to break the game and connect a planetoid to the main base like you have it set up. Do you remember your process in doing it?

If you create two new docks and redock it, then undock it does it stay linked? It could be possible if you delete the docks without undocking the planetoid the game could think the planetoid is still docked if theres any variables stored on the planetoid linking itself to the main base in the backend.

well, i went through the stargate with only a bit of ice ( for air ) and about 2K floor boards. i looked around at map and found the planetoid that suited me and i went to it asap. i THINK i built the make-ice-to-air building first ( cant remember name :D ) and then went about to build floor sections as seen on the screenshot. i might have put down floorspace first then built the building but im unsure of the order i did that. then i researched the laser drill and went nuts on the planetoid cause i had to test it and play with the new toy :D

then when i had a basic setup, i wanted to leave and go to another large planet and build a base on that. only to discover that the planetoid would not be left behind :D

i never docked on to it at alll. i might try to do that though and see if docking and un-docking with it solves the problem.

ill let ya know if it works or not :)

Sincerely
Kim, Denmark

Thats some wacky stuff going on. I might have to jump in a new game just to see how much I can break it by not building on my main base, but on planetoids instead lol.

Sorry, I have no idea how to even begin to suggest how to fix it. Would you mind uploading your save file so I can check it out? Dev would probably appreciate it too.

I wanted to publish the update today, but I need a little bit more testing tomorrow. The update should come tomorrow, then. Thanks for reporting the issue.
