Electric floors.
Step 1. Scrap all the foundations from underneath your base.
Step 2. Craft A LOT of Copper Wire.
Step 3. Change your floor to a nice looking one (it doesn't have to lay on foundations).
Step 4. Build an Electric Cables underneath every floor tile, like this:

Step 5. When you need an outlet, you just put a piece of cable on the yellow rectangle of a machin and it connects to the network through the floor.

Step 6. Do not forget to build power source. :P

Step 7 (Otional). If yuo hate that it always blinking and moving, you can built a floor underneath and walls around cables to hide em, cables pierce walls, too. :3

That's a crazy setup! I just wonder if you don't waste to much carbon creating so many electric cables :steamhappy:

I did the same but instead of this insanity, I planned everything better in advance, and I only built two lines of cable underneath - then I rebuilt the foundations so that they're nested in between them, without seeing them.

Your idea is great, the problem is this: you can use the underfloor for more than just cables. For example, water pipes, and even conveyor belts - you can make conveyor belts become 'underground belts'.

Well, it piles up anyway. x)
This smol setup provides me with UNLIMITED POWER resources in a shortest time.

And if I want something bigger, I can leave a game on and go walk/work/eat/sleep.

BTW, I understand that it might not be a correct place to do it, but i'd love to make a suggestion to increase amount of ice in the asteroids and decrease amount of all other resources.
It's too easy to make OP setup wich can catch like 10k of each resource in an hour, basic resources on the planets are basically useless.

Thanks for your hard work. ^_^

True. I just "delete" some cables when I put something different on it. :)
Well, Imma just a lazy person and too lazy to care.
Too lazy to care about putting coal into burners - just find a ton of gold, mine it with basic drill+hand and craft 100500 solar panels.
Too lazy to go and rewire power everytime I change machines layout - just put all the cables at once beforehead. xD
Also, this feeling when I can put my machines around anyhow I feel and power em in 1 click is pretty good after the first like 2 hours of initial suffering with cable management. :3
