NOT A BUG... More a question about gas

So I have been setting up a space for my gas holding area...
It just dawned on me that there seems to be no way to control how the gas moves from place to place.

The setup SEEMS to be that the gas will flow TO the station?
Is there any way to define how you want the gas to flow?

In my head I was kinda expecting the docking ports to use one of the lines to be used to move gas and water.
A dock has 4 lanes so in effect you could have one lane for water, one for gas and two, one in and one out, for belts.

This means that you could control the DIRECTION of the gas and water just like you can with the normal belts and it would pump the gas/water where you want it.

Power could stay as the addition on the side because that is not a variable resource. You could use it to recharge batteries without needing to denote which way the energy flows.

Also... Side note.
Stacking gas storage tanks does not make them part of the whole.
Is that intentional? Seems like an oversight to me?

You need to go inside the docking station (the one on the gas planetoid) and set the number of gas transmitted every 4 second to the other docking station.
