Cannot plant trees

Planting trees is not working. Wheat is fine once you throw one in, the entire line begins working it,
Trees.... How to get the farms working, there are no 'trees' to place in the farm.
The system used to work fine, attempting to improve has ruined the process.
Give up on stargate unless I spend hours searching for planets.

There are small saplings just like the wheat. You just have to go find them. Then the farms work just fine.

Found them. Began looking for planets with 'trees' rather than just going around harvesting. Not sure how I have not happened upon any before this. Thanks

Wdym Found them? do i need to cut them down to get the samplings or what? caus im cutting like 3000 trees and i still got no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sampling .

I think things have changed since this ancient post. No you did not cut them down. They were growing. Just like the Wheat did.

have to find a planet that has trees in the Life category on the map, you'll find shrub-like tree saplings on such planets that ya can collect and use in the farm.

As said above.
Jump into your little space ship and gun it like 10 LY from where you start. I did not find any tree seedlings within scanning range of the start region at all. Have to wander a bit farther abroad. :P

slapped thrusters on my station and went north for awhile checking the map occasionally, eventually found some.
