Farming Help

Love the game, but trying to set up farms, I've added power and water, built a farm bot, but i still get the wheat/tree icon above the farm, I've added 6 farm land but still nothing. I can't select grain within the farm, it doesn't allow me to drag it in start reproduction, the wheat icon looks like it's greyed out, please help.

You need to put the plant into the farm. You will find it on planetoids. When looking at their details on the map under life it will show the plant if its there.

This confused me at first too, with trees. You have to find them like you do with the food plants etc. Not just any tree.

Thank you for letting me know. There is a message "drag plant to start reproduction", but maybe it's not so obvious.

I will make sure that the tutorial has a step to find a plant and to drag it drag. Also, the guidebook should say something about collecting "life".

I will ensure that dragging into the upper part of the window also counts.

I see a wheat plant and a tree, but they are grayed out and I can't drag them. I definitely have the tech since I am 2 away from Stargate. Not sure what to put in the slot to grow wood.

I see. I am supposed to drag a sapling over from inventory. That wasn't clear anywhere.

So i got a system with no life on any of the planetoids, how do you start wheat or trees then?

You need to start moving and discovering more planets. The number of planet combinations in shapes, sizes, biomes and resources is actually limitless.

Yes, a tree sometimes is hard to spot because it is similar to other trees/plants.

Well i gathered all the "planets" in a bunch together.. I see what "could" be wheat but grabbing it, just gives me quartz.

The map tells you exactly how many "life" exists on the planet.
When you pick one, the number decreases.
