Transport pipes: vertical direction (going wrong way)
I'm attempting a stack of catchers going down to a common storage location all connected by transport pips.

The issue I'm having is that when connected to 1 catcher, the pipes go to storage just fine and sometimes 2 vertical catchers will go down, but rarely (1 of 4 columns at this point) and if I do my stack of 6-7, then everything just goes to the top of the stack. Now, I know I could just put my storage at the top and then route everything back down to where I want it, but is there any way (placement order or other) that I can make things go in the direction I want? I've tried removing/replacing things, order of placement, etc., but I think I'm missing some small thing.

Have you tried the logic blocks. They can be put on pipes also. Use a push block or a three way. They have many options.

I did try those, but they seem to only work on a horizontal direction and I'm needing vertical. That's unless there's a way to rotate it in that direction that I have yet to find.

No, just put a small bend in your pipe with going horizontal for a couple blocks, then you can use them. It's a pain, but it works.

Thanks! I'll try that the next time I load it up (prob tomorrow).

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked. I did a stack of S curves putting the << at the top where the output joined and it snakes it stuff down to storage now.
I do wish there was a more "built in" way to do this though.
Thanks again!

Np, ya, it took me a lot of figuring to get the dang things to work.

They have memory state. The first time you push something in one direction it will continue pushing in that direction.

Thank you. I removed all connections and only connected the top catcher to storage at the bottom. Worked as I was expecting.
