What does the Advanced Dock do?

I'm just having a hecc of a time seeing a difference between the normal 4-lane dock and the advanced one. Anyone know if there even is one yet?

The belts are faster or they are using the pro belts.

Advanced dock has Tier 2 belts. Normal dock has tier 1 belts.

You can't connect different platforms like that. Only way i found was to setup individual grids. You can use the Dock's belts to move items between platforms, but you can't run power or water through them and have it work on the other side.

Power transmitter should let you do this. Find them in the tech tree all the way at the end.

The docks literally say allows transfer of water, electricity etc, right in the description though.

So either it's a bug or the text needs to be changed, because we spent like 15 min screwing with them trying to get power and water across one.

Exactly forcecomdr and in an older YouTube video I saw that it works. And I can't find the water connection on the power receiver :(

that's cause it isnt needed, just power will work, oh, and just in case, looking on it and pressing f allows you to aim it at the reciever.
