Balance Power Plants
Hello folks,

I have a problem. How do you manage to "feed" the Carbon Power Plants more evenly? With the logic components, there is the possibility of creating a 3-way split. Is it possible to set it up somehow so that everything doesn't just come into one power plant?

with the 3way splitter i was able to fill up 8 powerplants, it was a bit tricky to setup but it worked fine for me. the same setup i have with ice cubes and 8 crushers.

I may be too stupid for this, but how did you set that? I don't quite get the settings.

there is for sure a better way to do this, but for me this is simple enough and works since 50+ hours fine. i just show it with ice cubes because i deleted allready the coal power

Wow, thanks for the effort. Even if I don't use the first power plants later, it's a great setup for my ice processing.

Solar Power FTW. ;) None of the above needed.

well early game when you don't have the tech and also low gold it helps :)

i found a video on youtube from Lord Helbinor explaining how to use advanced logic blocks and his exemple helped me with this kind of repartition problem

Speed your way to Solars as fast as possible. They're Broken in the best way.

i used the advanced logic blocks so that each of the power plants have 10 coal in them at any given time and then the coal just loops around in a circle so if all of the plants have coal in them then the excess will loop back around.

Was much more reliable than using just splitters to fill up over time.

Have a play with them if you have them unlocked.

But solar power is deffo the way to go at the moment.

This is what I chose to do as well, but I just had the coal stop at the last generator. The belt stays filled and only uses coal when needed.

I found that by using splitters, all the coal gets crammed into all the generators. Once I opened the tech tree to advanced logic blocks, I switched to using an inventory sensor, decider and pusher to load the generators. This way I can keep the majority of my coal in my main storage to use for other things as well.

The inventory sensor linked to the generator monitoring for coal.

The sensor is connected to the decider which is used to enable/disable the pusher for the coal into the generator.

Finally, the generator with only 10 coal.
