Mining Bots Transfers?

I was under the impression from the tutorial that mining robots would be transferrable from the First Station on to a planet where a miner is present.

This doesn't seem to be the case in my personal experience but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or misread. There's a UI for moving the drones but it doesn't want to do anything.

same problem, watched on yuotube - same contruction but my bots dont move

after playing around with the bots it seems that they cant move to another planet via the harpoon connector, you need to build a dock and connect those. I got around this by just moving the robot assembler to the planet temporarily.

my bots dont like to move resources around they r useless

maybe path bug need to restart game they make 1 path and bug again

Transport drones you can transfer to another station using Astronauts menu P.
They are delivering goods based on your requests - each container can make resource request and they should be delivered.

Mining drones should travel to the Miner on the planet once you dock with a large dock. Mine did anyways, they sat outside the robot factory until I docked with the planet with the Drone Miner and they went right away.

Also make sure they can physically reach the dock!

I'm talking about mining drones, not transport drones. They'd be in WORK ASSIGNED state and flip between that and idle briefly, but not path. They had the clearest possible path, two-tiles wide from the place where the drones get spit out to the dock to the mining unit/station. Is there another type of dock than the one you get at the beginning of the game?

u have the harpoon which i guess is a small dock, and u have a DOCK which is the older bigger dock
