It also helps that it's protagonist talks and has a defined personality.
It all boils down to whether you want a short, charming romp or an expansive, emotional journey.
Whichever you pick first, you should definitely play the other at some point!
Nine Sols is harsher, has a more Sekiro feel, you may often hit brick difficulty walls in the way of its boss fights.
Different flavors, both recommended. I still haven't bested Nine Sols' final boss. Stuck
Nine sols wins the poll.
Both games amazing, NS feels wholesome and memorable.
Bo doesn't leave such emotions, its honestly feels too short and final rushes like crazy.
Nine sols is challenging, fairly challenging, only final Boss feels a little bs, i beat it yet i don't understand how.
P.S. I like biogun a little more than Nine Sols
Nine Sols:
- Very story driven with a lot of dialogue and character interaction
- It's all about the combat, platforming is very minimal and simple, combat is very difficult and parry based
- It has a darker aesthetic and a bittersweet revenge narrative
Bo:
-It's all about the platforming, bosses are easy and where they are difficult they are difficult as platforming challenges
- Story's minimalist, there's some longer lore scrolls you can read if you want but really Bo wants to get you pogoing...and keep you pogoing
- Bo can be seen as a DLC pack that mashes Ori and Hollow Knight together; it takes entire mechanics, quests, and plot from both or either of these games. It is also very short.
Because of that last point, if you really like Hollow Knight and Ori and want more of it, then Bo will be a challenging platform diversion for you. If you want a new experience or a more expansive one, go for Nine Sols (assuming the gameplay of both appeals to you). As for my personal opinion...well, I've beaten Nine Sols 4 times and I got bored with Bo during the final boss and stopped playing; Nine Sols is the clear winner for me.
