Great puzzle game. Really beautiful. French translation is good. Short but for the price its ok.

Have you ever dreamt of being a pneumatic capsule? Here is your chance.
Once you're there you'll wonder why you wanted to do that though. The game is very drab and obtuse.
You're controlling a capsule on a circuit, in a gameplay that is reminiscent of the game "7th sector" but nowhere near as well done. The backgrounds are very plain.
The gameplay is very hermetic but not too complex at the same time, it's just a matter of making detours to activate triggers in another place so you can come back and keep going on your way. Most of it seem to be able to be solved by brute force combinations, although it's sometime difficult to identify the objects you can interact with.
The biggest problem is that the camera changes perspective on its own and the control directions change at the same time so your capsule stops moving because of the camera all the time.
Sometimes there are number rolls panels where you have to read the text and guess the correct numbers to input and I quit on the third panel because I have no idea what to input and the game is franckly not fun.
If you like environmental reddittelling and slow puzzle games with a weird sovietpunk background that require long meticulous manipulations, then you might like it, although I'd advise to take a look at 7th sector first.

Really fun and cute puzzle game! The beginning was a little hairy at first because I wasn't sure what I needed to do to interact with things, but once I figured that out, it was pretty much smooth sailing. The atmosphere is captivating, the music is great, and the puzzles aren't too difficult. There is an actual story to the game as well, just need to take the time and read all the articles to understand what is going on in the world. Also, I have to say the panoramic views in the game are amazing, and the creativity put into all the gadgets was really something special. Thanks so much for letting me review your game, can't wait for the next chapter to come out!

This was a super fun and enjoyable experience! I really liked the puzzles and the aesthetics were top notch.

A puzzle game whose interesting ideas suffer from execution that leaves something to be desired. The linear puzzle mechanics show a lot of potential and the Soviet-era setting is incredibly unique; but flaws in the puzzle design coupled with bizarre technical limitations (e.g. unintuitive controls, no control rebinding) made it frustrating to play after a while.

Pnevmo-Capsula: Domiki is a puzzle game about navigating a small pneumatic capsule on wheels across a network of sprawling railways in an alternate reality's USSR. You're bound to these mostly-linear railways, and your only control outside of moving forward and backward along the rails is firing off an electrical burst that acts as a one-size-fits-all interact function. The concept is simple, but limitation breeds innovation, as they say; and it does its best to make the most out of what it's got. There are two broad categories of puzzles you'll find along the rails: sending telegraphs to their intended destination by deducing the telephone code from nearby clues, and hunting for switches on a maze of branching paths to shut down the electric gates that block your path forward.

• The code puzzles are easily the game's strong point, and are on average the most satisfying to solve. You need to look around the nearby environment for hints on where the telegraph needs to go and what telephone code will take it there, often requiring some deductive reasoning as the hints provided start becoming less obvious. These clues come from nearby writings such as address books, newspaper clippings, and the telegraphs themselves; and these also serve to provide a little worldbuilding by implying the existence of this bustling interconnected community that feels like it's just out of reach of your tiny railway system.
  
  
• Conversely, the electric gate puzzles are the game's weak point, partly because of how quick they become tedious to navigate and partly because of how they try to implement an artificial sense of difficulty. The puzzles themselves aren't hard to solve, but they frequently use gaps in the railing that force you back to the start of the puzzle if you fall through one. Most are either too hard to see (even after you've already slipped down them) or placed so close to necessary interaction points that you'll find yourself accidentally falling thanks to some less-than-stellar hit detection. A lot of these could have been replaced with barricades requiring you to turn back around and they would still result in less backtracking than the gaps currently do.

Despite my preference, both are interesting concepts that I could see being fleshed out and even split into two completely unique games; but the puzzles presented here are bogged down by questionable design choices more often than not. For one thing, it's not very hard as far as puzzle games go, and the puzzles I could call a challenge are that way for the wrong reasons. One example is a gate puzzle that zooms the camera so far out that you have to strain your eyes to even see where you are, let alone any interactibles or gaps along the way; and there's a multi-stage code puzzle near the end whose hints are so vague that solving it can boil down to just brute forcing codes using a list that's down a winding railway you'll need to climb up and down again and again unless you have the foresight to take a screenshot of it. This might sound like ridiculous nitpicking, but when the game as a whole only has a few puzzles to speak of, those with even minor flaws really stand out compared to the rest; and the entire back half of the game felt like a step down in quality because of issues like these.

Puzzle design aside, Pnevmo-Capsula also suffers from some flaws on the technical side. One thing that plagued most of my run is that the control scheme regardless of input method feels unintuitive, and there's no option to rebind the default controls. Despite being labeled in the Steam tags as a "point & click", neither pointing nor clicking is actually possible outside the pause menu. You need to use the arrow keys or control stick to move along the rails and cycle between options on machines, and actually interacting with objects requires you to press and hold a button for up to several seconds while your capsule charges up that little electrical burst I mentioned earlier.

It sounds simple enough, and it even gives you the option to use a keyboard or a controller; but both come with their own unique problems. The keyboard uses bizarre keybinds that can feel even more illogical depending on the layout of a machine, like using the left and right keys to navigate a vertical column of switches and the up key to flip said switches. Controllers suffer from issues with directional input as it sometimes calculates where an input is going to take you based on some arbitrary position on the map rather than what makes sense on the static camera; and it got so bad on one puzzle (this weird half-moon device near the end) that I couldn't progress until I switched to my keyboard. By the way, there's no "back" button when you're working on a machine—you can only back away by holding the interact button and waiting for the capsule to release another charge, unless the game bugs out and punts you out of the machine while simultaneously locking the camera in place.

I'm delving back into nitpicking territory again, but there's also some confusing technical limitations that really stood out to me. I've already mentioned the inability to rebind controls and the lack of a "back" button, but there's also no native ability to escape fullscreen when changing your resolution, and you can adjust the music volume but have zero control over the sound effects volume without changing it in your operating system's volume mixer. According to dev comments on other reviews, certain technical problems can't be addressed without reworking the game from the ground up, but they've noted that player feedback plans to be taken into account for the upcoming sequel.

It'll take around 60-90 minutes to beat, and completionists can rest easy knowing that none of the achievements are missable. Despite boasting a unique gameplay hook and setting, Pnevmo-Capsula: Domiki is held back too much by frustrating design decisions and technical limitations to wholeheartedly recommend. I wish I could've enjoyed it more than I did, as it's something I could see being much easier to recommend with just a little bit of tweaking. Sadly, given the aforementioned dev comments, it sounds like no big changes can be made to the current release; so fingers crossed that we get to see it in the sequel.

7.8/10 good and immersive ambient game experience but a little short. Very innovative. But feel like an incomplete game. More chapters with extension of at least 6 more and more variety of game mode will be perfect (now just phone number puzzle and high voltage blocker elimination puzzle).

Fun game that doesn't overstay it's welcome!

Short & simple enough puzzle adventure, where you play as a little mail delivery capsule, set in some sovietpunk science village. And, like in any proper sovietpunk setting, you're the only cog in the entire mechanism that's doing all the work, having to figure out the right addresses, throw the right switches and so on (everyone else is either taking five behind a shed, fell asleep, or was accidentally teleported into the bright future of tomorrow, leaving all the mundane tasks to the machines, wall-e style)

The controls are a little frustrating and poorly explained, but they're are easy to figure out (basically, press W,D to go forward, A,S to go backwards, hold Space to interact with puzzle elements... occasionally, you'd tap Space during the puzzle solving sequence to switch between different dials).
Music has a pleasant future synth vibe to it, and generally the aesthetics, combined with interesting, scope-revealing camera angles (which are strictly game-directed - no free mouselook here), provide a unique sense of the world the game tries to conjure up.

You'll generally have two types of puzzles: A. little rat mazes of switching between the tracks, turning off electric barriers to proceed, whilst trying not to fall to your death and B. finding the right address (or phone number) to deliver your next letter or a propaganda flyer to its designation.

It's 1 hour long and it doesn't outstay its welcome. Definitely worth at least a discount price tag

Another game that needs a mid-way thumb review.
For 3 bucks, it's a decent buy, and is now on sale for less than a dollar!
World design is fantastical and interesting, and gameplay design is unique.
But the gameplay execution is a very mixed bag.

Puzzles boil down to three types.
Find the code, find the device needed to activate the code reader, and navigation puzzles.
They are all ok, but the they get old fast, especially the code ones. Thankfully the environments look fantastic as you solve puzzles in them.

Shame the camera doesn't like to work with you. It's fixed and constantly changing. And your movement is based on the position of the camera, which results in LOTS of changing your direction input to continue down a path. Movement itself is also very janky to work with.

The story is also all in the environment, though I don't know how much of it actually tells us what's going on. Cool idea, looks great, mixed bag in execution.
