Is there a discord server? The Epic Games store page has a discord link button, but it's invalid.

Hey, the game is wonderful, a huge improvement over the first one, but i dont think that stimated length its correct at all.

You said 6 hours for straight completion, 12 for 100% completion? I dont know how is that possible, since im only missing 3 main buildings to explore, i got every single collectible within the buildings i explored, as well as the surroundings, and i also spent time just wandering around, enjoying the view, and doing basically nothing regarding progresion, and i have around 5 hours played. Unless there is some kind of end-game im missing, im pretty sure the exploration of those 3 buildings im missing and its surroundings wont take 7 hours...

By 3 main building do you mean the ones with the seeds?

The 100% we mentioned includes gaining all collectables , all the diaries on the Taku small buildings , all the boat upgrades , creatures etc

Whoever finishes this game in 6 hours doesn't know how to enjoy a game and they will never see and understand all the beauty this game has to offer.
After almost 2 and a half hours I have just discovered 7 of 56 diaries. And only unlocked ONE boot style. And a vantage point. And 2 landmarks. So I'm still missing almost EVERYTHING. That's probably because I don't drive from destination to destination in order to have everything collected and unlocked as soon as possible. I do what this game has to offer me: I EXPLORE. I explore the beautiful game world at my leisure and find most things WITHOUT looking at the map. I'm really just using for guidance. In the buildings I don't run from ladder to ladder, I walk around every wall, search every square meter. Sometimes I just stand on the edge of a platform and enjoy the magnificent panorama. Oh man, I will be busy in this fantastic game for a very long time...:-)

I don't think you really need to go into such discussions. The game is beautiful and has a whole lot to discover and enjoy. Anyone who thinks they should do this in quick succession should do so. If a game world fascinates me so much and I just want to immerse myself in the beautiful atmosphere to switch off from everyday life, I can spend hours in this game without having to make any real game progress. And Submerged hidden depth is such a game for me. Sometimes I just float around in the boat to relax and enjoy the impressions. I turned off the hud, so I always have to work with the map. You can spend a lot of time in this great game if you want to. And I want defenitive, and I will :-)

As i mentioned in my previous comment, i fully explored all seed buildings except 3 of them, getting all collectibles inside them, and also, every single collectible in the surroundings, meaning boat upgrades, Taku diaries, creatures, etc... plus just wandering around and enjoying the view without progressing at all. Also, i never use quick travel in small open worlds like this one, and i always like to come to the main building to place relics, change outfits, boat ,flower, etc... and then proceed to keep exploring with a new look.

Thats how i play, and still, all of this happened in around 5 hours, so the game is probably 7-8 hours max. for 100% completion + wandering around, considering that there is no skill involved and most players will probably progress at the same pace because of that. I dont really understand how anyone would reach 12 hours of playtime unless you are new to videogames or something.

Well, the game can be as long as you want if you like to stare at the building's walls for hours lol. This doesn't reflects the game's real length at all.

I really like this title, i just think devs should be a bit more "honest" about the amount of content it offers.

EDIT: I just saw another thread of a person that posted a screenshot with the map of the game 80% completed. His total playtime according to his Steam profile is 6.0 hours. That pretty much says it all.

You don't have to create facts for your argument that don't exist. I don't stare at the facades of houses for hours. I'm sure you will have used the boot acceleration very often, always let your character scan the area continuously...it's just the way you can let a game sink in...or not . I play the game calmly. Without endurance, without boot acceleration. I am looking for absolutely EVERYTHING there is to find in this game and in this quest I cross every path between all the buildings, WITHOUT a compass. I think you would rather like to get to the goal and finish the game. This can sometimes make you impatient and you move more purposefully and faster through a game. I take all the time in the world. Without, as I said, looking at any house walls for hours. And what can I say, after 6 hours of gameplay I still haven't found half of all the things there are to find. Far from half. I therefore think it is pointless to accuse the developers of any playing time, which in this case only results from YOUR playing style, or from others with a similar playing style like you. Obviously there are people who play games in a different way. You can stubbornly play through a game and check out everything there is to check out, or you can just enjoy a game. Without always just chasing the goal. How do you seriously want to measure something like that with the content? The Witcher 3 was also played through in 25 hours, with all quests. But obviously most players took their time with it and needed well over 100 hours. You see, it doesn't necessarily depend on the content, but on the way you play and your own requirements.

My playing style is the default playing style the developers intended, by giving me a boat boost, a map, and a compass, things that you apparently dont use so for some reason, so yeah its definetly gonna take you way longer. Im just using the tools the game provided me, and as i, probably most people will do it too, so im just saying that the overall length those people will experience doesn't match what the devs said, unless of course you dont use literally anything the game gives to you.

Oh and btw, i 100% finished the game some days ago, total playtime 8.0 hours, didn't use any kind of guides to find collectibles except for a sneaky unique sea creature that behaves a bit different than the others, making it really hard to find. Could've last easily like 1 hour less without wandering around the map enjoying the view.
