This is a clever take on roguelites that thankfully didn't get bogged down in micromanagement of units. It stands out to me as something different in a sea of similarity. The downside is that it's eventually a chaotic blur of things happening. Also: that's why it's so great. I for one welcome my spiderbots-with-giant-swords overlords.

I've become a bigger fan of this wave of "auto-attacking while running around" surge of games that's going around now though the saturation point is coming very quickly. Like those, this plays very simple oldskool arcade with a gamepad and is perfect for short breaks and winding down after longer days. Unlike those, this one didn't fall into the "Survivors-like" trap and does a lot different, but I think those looking for more stuff that plays similar yet different could enjoy this. This one throws a little wrench in that you have to remain still to shoot and attack, but you can't stand in the attacks or you'll die. So it remains pretty active but simple.

the ONLY rouge game that says "Oh you have to go do something but don't want to end your run? Go on ahead. I will keep all your units and upgrades saved for your return. Oh and here are some NEW upgrades you can use when you come back."

Not bad but nothing seems to happen. I played two hours on one run and never died until i got bored and just decided to die. You loop through 12 barely discernible stages repeatedly and run out of new enemies really quickly.

For now, this game is way too repetitive to be fun past the first few hours.
There are so many games in this category with way more diversity.
Will come back to see how it evolves but right it's not worth the time.

Game is a blast! Is like bullet hell /heaven done right !
The main focus of the game is that you have your own army and you have to get your army as big as possible to shoot down the alien waves.
Dev is communicative too!

Little bit sluggish in the beginning but starts to pick up the pace after 5-ish stages. Pretty fun concept and somewhat refreshing. Lack of settings is my only issue with this game at the moment, would love to switch keybindings! Great job though :)

Average day in Lapland simulator

This is essentially "Don't stand on the pink dot - The Game!". The game play doesn't change at all, you just run in circles while your troops auto shoot at bad guys who instantly teleport to your location (which is very annoying) and drop their pink dot on you.

It's very boring. There doesn't really seem to be any way to effect the game play either. There isn't much in the way of builds or strategies from what I can tell. You can't kite or funnel the enemies as they instantly teleport to you all the time.

There are many games that do something to distinguish themselves from the sea of lazy vampire survivor clones. This is not one of them. There is nothing that this game adds to the formula, and the elements it copied from other games, it does very poorly. Enemies teleport instantly to you if you move too far away, your positioning doesn't matter.
It really seems the game had very bad visual clarity so the author just added giant red dots that signify where attacks are gonna land, which in turn makes the game into "use wasd to move from the pink circles and rectangles" and everything else, like the enemies, the units you pick, the upgrades you get, is irrelevant. As long as you don't stand on the pink shapes, you're completely fine. And you have basically infinite dashes, so not standing in the pink shapes is trivial.
