Questions re: 'Small Storage' and multiple products/goods
I just bought this game yesterday, so still trying to figure out how things work. I have reached the point where I have just built my first 'Potato Farm'. I placed it far enough away from my little Hamlet that it requires use of a train to bring Potatoes to the Hamlet, and Workers to the Potato Farm.

My questions regarding the Small Storage use: if I build a Small Storage near the Train Station, and assign a 'Courier Shack' to take potatoes from station to storage, what happens when the storage becomes full -- the train stops running because it can not unload? Is it advisable to make more than one Small Storage for same product, and if I do can I assign multiple storages to the 'Market'?

Currently my Market gets Fish from a storage near the Fishing Dock -- as the game progresses I presume I will be making different products/foods, etc. which the Market will get from the storage buildings...so do I make a small storage for each product/goods or will I be able to keep them in a centralized combined storage building of some sort?

As I progress in this first play-through I will probably/hopefully discover the answers to some of these questions...but I am asking now so that I can plan the layout/spacing of my Hamlet as it grows.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

EDIT: I have found that after Warehouse becomes filled with Coal, the train transporting Coal from Coal Mine to the station in the Hamlet now just sits in the station due to being unable to unload the Coal...so if this happens with more than one product/goods how is one supposed to prevent multiple trains just sitting in the stations?

Regarding your question about centralised storage:

You can put different products in the same storage building and them use couriers to distribute them. Or simply link the production buildings direct to the Market if its in range, of course - no need for a middle step in that case.

If the storage is getting full even while your couriers unload it to move to the market, chances are the market is also getting full, which means you're overproducing. You can make extra storage if you wish, but there's not much point to it.

Check your route settings.

By default ("until done") the train doesn't need to wait like that. It will only wait if you configure the setting to wait until it's fully unloaded.
