Microsoft.NETCore.App', version '3.1.0' (x64) was not found.
In the Data/Base/Other folder I have a few text files (12) that have error in the name. Example: shader_color.xnb.error.txt

Opening that text file, it says this:

It was not possible to find any compatible framework version
The framework 'Microsoft.NETCore.App', version '3.1.0' (x64) was not found.
- No frameworks were found.

You can resolve the problem by installing the specified framework and/or SDK.

The specified framework can be found at: (with a link to an MS site to download the app)

At that link it says :

Do you want to run console apps that use .NET Core on your Windows computer? Install the .NET Core Runtime.

I don't run console apps so I'm not sure I need this framework. Can anyone enlighten me with a bit more info on this?
The game runs fine for me, with no errors so I'm not sure I need this framework since I already have Net Framework 4.8, or is this NETCore App something different, and since it's an app, do I even need it on Win 7?

You need it.. NET Framework is not the same as NET Core, Framework is older. It should have been installed with the game though. Try re-installing the game or manually installing the NET Core 3.1.0 runtime: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/3.1

Thanks for clarifying it is different than NET Framework.

Why do I need it if the game runs fine?
What does it do for the game?
What am I missing by not having it?

A little research shows that MS support for .NET Core 3.1 ends this Dec., for whatever that's worth.
Obviously MS support isn't too much of a concern for me since I still run Win 7. LOL!

According to one of the devs over at Discord, this app isn't really needed to play Sweet Transit except maybe with some mods.
Well its filling up the even viewer with a lot of errors which I'd rather it not do...

Maybe you should download and install it then.

Not sure why the devs decided to use it to begin with. I did send the devs an email, using the Sweet Transit website, asking about it. I guess we'll see if I get a reply.
I decided to refund the game cause It was causing me more issues...

I did see what you're talking about. I just cleared the log. Guess I'll have to do that periodically.

Shame you decided to refund. It is a pretty good game.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have been playing this game today (gotten further than I have done before with the game) and I have had a few points where the game has just started to freeze up completely (usually for just a split second, but in the most recent incident it was for a solid 3 minutes and prevented me from even closing the game down until it decided to un-freeze).

Checking my computer's event log, this error relating to NET framework seems to have occurred (although no actual error message came up on screen at all). Has anyone found that this issue has caused freezing?
