Same thing with laborers and craftsmen. You can lock certain wagons to that haul both craftsmen and laborers to hold what you want them to hold. There was a bug that let craftsmen ride in wagons that they were not supposed to ride in.. That was fixed.
So, tell the wagon what you want in it.
Example: your Warehouse has bricks and cut stone. Both are hauled by a flat car. If you set a flat car to load from the warehouse and you don't tell it which item to load, it could load either one.
But, I will change ALL of my trains to carry the specific cargo.
I take it then that craftsmen will NOT do laborer jobs? But, it appears, as of that post a couple of days ago, that unless you specify your worker trains going to a sawmill to carry laborers ONLY, then craftsmen will get on those trains even though they won't debark or swap for the tired laborers there? That's kinda stupid actually.
I would picture a train platform with time and destination info that a craftsman is scanning. He's pretty smart. Is he gonna get on the train that is only traveling from that platform to the sawmill and back? I don't think so.
The game works all the way to end at this point.. But there are bugs (it's early access). It is a bug that craftsmen will get in a train that should only have laborers, but the work around is simple.
Hasn't this been fixed in the latest HotFix? Hold on! Let me check.
Yes, it seems to have been. From the 0.2.28 changelog:
Whether the fix was successful or not, I can't say for sure yet. :-)
I'm not sure if they fixed craftsmen will get on wagons like ST30 or DT10 (cars they can both ride in) even if the destination has no spots for them. It is very easy just to set a filter and / or lock them to individual cars.
Ah! I understand what you're saying now. I misunderstood.
