By far the best Motocross game as far as physics is concerned is MXGP Pro...

If it had a track builder with it it would be the best in every department by far!

If you are looking for a pure simulator then MXBikes by Piboso is by far the best though the graphics are very dated in that, but the physics are the best you'll get on a PC, no doubt about it! :)

Pro has really smooth gameplay, it is fast. but has a really bad whip feature, you pivot from the back tire and the back tire stays in the center, looks like a book flipping a page back and forth. The rider on the bike does not move as much, looks frozen or stiff compared to 21. The bike feels stiff too like its connected to a rubber band in the air.

There is more of a feeling of impact when landing in 21, the rider is standing in the air then is forced into almost a sitting position when he lands. It seems the bike goes faster in speed in Pro, but does not accelerate as fast as in 21. In 21 you accelerate faster than Pro but then just stop gaining speed, it looks slower and I think you don't get as much air off jumps.

21 has a much rougher feeling to it, it is nice. Sometimes it is so rough though that the rider looks glitchy. There is more of a boosting feel out of corners, it feels more satisfying. The graphics are better. The whips can be done in a way where once get used to how to do them, you can make them look floaty and nice in a custom way. You can scrub jumps.

A thing I do not like, but end up not even paying attention to while playing 21, is the back tire is sunk in the dirt and clips through dirt and ruts when turning the bike. It looks like dirt is inside the tire rim and it just passes through.
Pro does not have this error, but i think in Pro it can look like your tires are actually hovering above the dirt sometimes, about 1 inch above.

There was 1 online lobby with 10 players today in 21, so you can still compete in harder races if you're bored of bots. I just bought 21 last night, I've played Pro since it was released on Xbox and then bought it on PC.

There is a track editor and custom tracks in 21. You can use a already made one to make credits faster. It's like Supercross 3 without the small whoops and much wider tracks. I don't think you can mix sand and dirt in 21, whatever map you choose is the choice of dirt for the track. The maps have more room to build and have hills to put jumps on so you can jump off cliffs basically.

I think MXGP 2021 is the better game. It feels more like dirt biking. Way more rough. Way more reaction in the rider's movement to bumps and jumps. More free form bike movement in the air. But, I still have a lot of fun playing Pro, it just doesn't feel as intense as 2021.

Pro has a much faster bike speed than 2021, that is the worst con I can think of for MXGP 2021.

The bike speed in 2021 is fast enough for me on my custom track. It still feels good. The official tracks are where the speed feels the slowest. I think it has something to do with the flow of the track and all the bumps and turns, which is fun in its own way. It's rougher.

From a purely fun perspective if you want a fast and easy to handle bike, than get MXGP3 / Supercross 1.

Every other modern game is just clucky and painful to drive.

IMO, MXGP 2021 is the best game and I've played all of them. There are however very stupid things in MXGP 2k21 like the banners on the side of the track. Yes those banners are (near) the track in real life but the real life ones are 'breakaway' not brick walls like they are in the game which is seriously unrealistic and annoying.

Furthermore, in some cases, the banners are literally out onto the track. That to me just seems very 'arcade' and takes away from the otherwise very realistic physics and game-play realism of the game.

There's also unexplainable bike drift on certain tracks at specific places and in almost all of those cases, it doesn't make gravitational sense. Meaning, in some corners no matter how much you're turning and leaning, the bike is simply going to slide to the outside of the corner. Or when you run up onto a high banked turn and the bike instantly goes front-end light and wheelies for no reason. Even if your weight is forward and you're turning and leaning at 100%.

Another pain point is the unexplainable falling for absolutely no reason. This is unbelievably frustrating. You might get a bad start, work your way back up to top 5 or top 3 and out of nowhere the game just throws you from the bike completely randomly. It's a terrible feature and literally makes me want to shut the game off. If there was a reason I'd just deal with it but I'm telling you 99% of the time it happens and I'm like what the hell was that??? I didn't hit anything, I didn't cross-rut, I was barely turning.... UGH!

And then there's the impossible magic of the Ai. You ride past a downed rider and within half a nano-second he's beside you again. Like what?? C'mon man.

And finally, the track borders. VERY inconsistent and completely absurd. In some areas if you come within a millimeter of a yellow stake, the bike resets on the track at a dead stand still. In other areas, you can run off track, go behind banners and whatever else and it just counts down to when you'll be reset. I think the devs should take a page out of the MXvsATV book on this and make it more realistic by just having the countdown in ALL cases not just some (randomly).

It feels as though the creators are HELL BENT on you not being able to cheat in any way. Which is totally fine! I'm down with that. But don't reset my bike on the track at a dead stop if I accidentally go wide in a turn. Start a countdown of whatever seconds before I have to be back within track borders. And if I don't make the count down, dock me a position in the standings, don't reset my bike to the track like some kind of child's game for god's sake.

Outside of all this.... the game is 100% worth the purchase and is incredibly fun and challenging. If they ever make even some of these complaints go away, it'll be the best motocross game ever made.

Utter garbage..

I 100% prefer Mx vs Atv Legends or MX Bikes. This game feels awful to play, slower sense of speed does not equal more realistic.

was having a great time racing with my gf in championship multiplayer mode with all the ai riders was great fun on mx 2016 . so seemed natural to upgrade to this . but just found out they removed the championship so i can only do single races and no ai riders just us two . wish i knew this clown action before and saved my money. im going back to 2016 asap .
