Post-Credits Scene
Make sure you stay past the full length of credits at the end to see the full ending. There's just a bit more to see after.

I felt like the lack of a true answer was intentional. The question throughout the game seems to be, "What does it mean to be Human?" ... and the closing felt like an emphasis of that question.

Another example: If you can mend Ops and Screening, you can watch Jesse and Kaylee talk about AI. Fits in perfectly with the meaning of consciousness, humanity, AI, etc.

The ending really isn't a full answer/exploration that some players hoped it'd be, but... I was okay with it being philosophical. I can understand why others would be left unsatisfied though.
Does the post credit scene play only once? I've replayed the endings but only got it once.

Joining OWL is simply selling out and making a puppet of yourself in the name of the interests of megacorporations. Escape change nothing for the more than 200,000 abused selves in the Red Room. But if you have chosen the right path, you will die: you are trading your life for someone freedom. But the point is that only "your" body was killed. The original Jason Dai had already "evaporated" indefinitely - which is clearly emphasized (so he did NOT die with his body), and you - the player - are immortal in that world (which is obvious). The status quo has been completely maintained, only others in that reality seem to think that you have died.

The scene after this ending clearly highlights these situations. The ending is a complete non-ending, because all the characters of the story are still in their places, ready to act.

This world reminds me a bit of the illusory reality from Disco Elysium, where only specific of the characters are aware of its multidimensionality and illusion, seen through the Pale phenomenon. In both cases, you, as the player, understand (or should understand) the illusion of these worlds, also additionally one of the in-game characters: in Minds Beneath Us it is the Anomaly, in Disco Elysium it is Kim Kitsuragi - and both of these characters are not from those worlds. Everyone else treats these realities as completely true and permanent.

There is apparently an ending scene with Grandma and Chameleon but i'm not sure what triggers it.
