Can this be played on Steam Deck?

It says 'unsupported' on the store page, but maybe with latest Steam Deck emulations it would work? I couldn't find anyone discussing this yet

Somebody got Space Empires V working on the Steam Deck so I'd imagine it's possible (and maybe easier) with Space Empires IV.

I play it on Linux via Proton. So Steam Deck should do the same. Technically no difference, when it comes to 'running the game'.

What makes esp. 4x games tagged as 'unsupported' is often the tricky way of controlling - hence 'unsupported'. Especially 4x games with tons of UI elements (on a tiny Steam Deck screen) or tricky pixel-perfect navigation when doing battles (TBS/RTS).
