I have 3 planets colonised and have built research centres on my new planets.

i think i am doing something wrong as all 3 planets say i have no storage available. Could you give me some tips on colonising please?

Make sure you load the colony ship first. I had the same issue. You would think that the colony ship would auto load but it doesn't. They fixed this in SEV

Thank you. I already know about using Colonise on a colony ship in order to populate a planet but its after I have colonised the planet when I run into trouble,

Did you build too many research centers? Each planet can hold a certain number of facilities depending on its size and atmosphere, ranging from 1 to 25 facilities. Larger planets and planets with a breathable atmosphere for the colonists can hold more facilities, while smaller ones and ones that don't have a breathable atmosphere can hold fewer.

Thank you. That's one of the things I'm unsure of.

I'm playing a quick start game so my main planet has 15 filled facilities. My other 3 colonised planets have 4 facilities each and have filled 3 facilities of them with research centres. Over time am I able in some way to increase the number of facilities for these planets?

Planets can have their facility space increased by undoming them - either replacing the population with a race that breathes the atmosphere, or building an atmospheric conversion plant and waiting a while for it to convert the atmosphere to a breathable one. This only works for planets that have a nonbreathable atmosphere; if the atmosphere is already breathable, you can't increase he facility space further.

(btw i think you can stack the atmospheric conversion buildings, so that you can speed up the process, by 2x, 4x etc)
