For context, this was intended to be a character who hated both of these traits and desperately desired to be normal, hence why not instinctively saving Gretchen and ignoring the dogs in the library. Needless to say, getting Stella's call at the end was actually kinda funny since she had been fretting over her all day, only to receive this call right at the end.
