(SPOILERS) Do you have to do 'cousin bonding time' for Tabitha to...

I'm curious on what I have to do to get Tabitha to step into the light. I've been on her good graces (I think) but never did that 'cousin bonding time' on Episode 3.

I've replayed episodes 2 + 3 a few times without doing this, and my MC always ends up going into the light. Just wondering if that's a required flag, or if I have to be more meticulous in my choices.

I'm Powerful Build / Keen Eye btw, doing a sort of Detective build.

It's bit easier in the saves from older versions :'D But yeah I'm not sure whether or not its hundred percent necessary, but it makes it much easier at least. (though doesn't guarantee it, I have many saves to attest to that)

It's kiiiinda hard to tell because Tabitha's thing is that she doesn't respect you for being kiss ass but neither she will respect you if you are about as abrasive as she is :'D You basically have to be good guest and still have some boundaries to call out on her being unreasonable(if ye have done right, she usually gets guilty and backs off or is otherwise reasonable). So you can pretty much forget her stepping in light for you if you don't call her about sneaking in mines or if you flake on her. (sidenote, one of easier ways to avoid her being annoyed at you on third day is if you find out about strike and snitch on them so she cancels the hangout to focus on work stuff). Easiest way to get her to step in light with you includes choices like staying first night at estate, calling her and waiting for her before going to mines and hanging out with her, but you don't need to be total lapdog for that to happen(plus that would make it harder for Kaneeka to like you instead)

So in short, Tabitha has to see you as (somewhat) trustworthy before you can prod her about her life or attitude without her sniping back at you. Easiest way to get that ending to chapter is to have the cousin bonding time, but there are ways to avoid it or mitigate it, but easiest way to avoid it is having streetsmart and finding out about strike that way so she herself cancels it and you don't have to flake out on her :'D On most of my old saves I didn't manage to get her to do the sacrifice, its really hard thing to do without making specific big choices(though it is possible).

(that said, powerful build does help mitigate effects of MC doing the sacrifice and tbh it might not be that bad to just leave instead)

• Visit Tabitha at the mines on Tuesday
  
• Call Tabitha to warn her about Rosalina sneaking into the Shaw mine
  
• Hang out with Tabitha on Wednesday

I assume that is game file data? Either way I do love how game itself doesn't tell you numbers so you have to figure out things with experience or intuition. Its relatively easy to tell effects of big choices, Pretty much everything there was something I was intuitively aware of just from playing game multiple times and its kinda cool to get confirmation that even if I didn't remember them on top of my head(I forgot about the chance to leave or wait for her at store when I read that, its been while since I replayed episode 2), they were the ones that seemed to have most impact. the main thing I'm unaware of is exact lines between various relationship statuses in the game since you have to intuit it from dialog, character expressions or responses being different rather than being able to check the status.

Damn, I only got about 4-5 points. Oh well, what the hell, haha. I think it's better off that my MC is hindered by the passing of age. Tabby doesn't really deserve that sorta treatment being the last of her line in the mine.

If you are really motivated, the saves are Renpy and are easy to edit. But at the same time, I really dont recommend it as it ruins the feeling of there being important choices.

There are also a lot of points based on the other flags you may have or not have (for example, the relationship types ones, like being Open can get a lot of extra points)
