I think the game that comes closest to this is Poker Night at the Inventory, except that the game being played is Werewolf instead of Poker. It might start out feeling a bit random at first, but over time you'll get to know the other characters and their tells and quirks. The way the rules are set up allows for lots of interesting emergent situations, I usually felt that when I lost, it was because I failed to notice something or draw the right conclusion. Then again, especially in early game, you can get screwed over because of your stats and that can be a bit annoying. I really like that you can check the characters inner thoughts after the end of the round, it helps you understand what you missed during the round.

One of the goals of the story in this game is to introduce you to the characters and I quite like the way it's done. Where Poker Night could pull from a roster of pre-established characters from various media that they had the rights to, this game has to establish original characters, and I think they did a great job. The added benefit of that is that they don't have to pull their game from the stores because they lost the rights to these characters like the developers of Poker Night (RIP Telltale). I'm not sure this is a game you'd play for the story, although the characters are interestingly written and very distinct from one another. I think of the story bits as small treats you're given along the way, but really the main course is the social deduction gameplay which I feel stands very well on its own.

It's a cozy game that you can play for ~10 minutes and then take a break. I wouldn't recommend playing too many games in a row, because it can get really confusing when you forget which events happened in the current round vs previous rounds.

In the end, after 126 loops just for me, the story finally reached its true end~
Although the worldbuilding felt a little scattered at times and the plot progression could be a bit choppy, the characters themselves were well-written. Each of their backstories adds something special to who they are, and as you spend more time with them and unlock their profiles, it brings this warm, gentle emotional release~

As for the gameplay, it somehow meets my expectations, neither exceeding nor falling short.
You get to know each character through their story scenes, and... I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, it shows how they behave during missions. Like... if someone dislikes another character, of course when they work together it’ll feel super Sus (´•ω•̥`)... And a particular character has zero logic skills... even if you're 99% likely to be a Friend to Humans, if she doesn’t like you...... She’ll still vote to freeze you!!

But after so many loops, it does start to feel repetitive... Especially in the mid-game, when you're constantly trying to line up random events just right to progress the story. That part might feel a bit frustrating, depending on your patience (and how much you enjoy this kind of gameplay). But if you survive and keep going until the later phase, you might suddenly find yourself so into it that you just want to finish everything in one go.

Oh! And if you’re playing it more like a game-game, I’d actually suggest not leveling up your stats too much... especially Intuition! Once your stats are too high, you kind of start steamrolling through everything and... it becomes way too easy... (；´∀｀)

The gameplay is so well made and addicting! Piecing the stories of the characters over time was so fun, not to mention I adore all of their designs! Couldn't put this game down for weeks when I first got it it's soooo good
