So how is it?
So hows the game dudes? Is it a disappointment as somerville certainly was for me and for many others or is it enjoyable like inside or limbo?

It's wonderful so far. Playing it on gamepass and I'm about 2 hours in (so, halfway if the game is 4 hours long, which I heard)

from a the little gameplay showcase it is a bit tedious and the artstyle is similar to somerville, i.e. lazy graphics. I don't know, Iam going to backlog this one for a while.

It's alright. The game looks gorgeous and the music makes the backdrops more atmospheric. The animation is almost as fluid as Inside. You can finish it in 4 hours or less if you burn through the puzzles and the story and lore are simple enough to understand without dialogue. I say play it on game pass or get it on sale to get it out of the way. It was fun chill ride but not as impactful or mysterious as Inside. It'll be forgotten in the backlogs.

Wonderful so far. I have the GoG version and my game time is 1 hour and 14 minutes at time of writing.
I like it. It feels mixed good old games such 1986s Prince of Persia, Abe Oddworld, Limbo (with colors) and Another World.

It's...okay. The visuals and audio are great, but the gameplay is pretty tired at this point and Lana is frustratingly imperceptive. Lana constantly calls out for her sister throughout the game despite the fact that she clearly wouldn't be in any of the places she calls out. It drives me insane. Also, she has a really bad habit of pulling things that she should be pushing, which also drives me crazy. Lana looks like she should be 10-13ish, but she acts like she has the intelligence of a toddler.

Thanks so much for this insight, I'll get it when it's in the budget bin :)

I never understand why some people don't read reviews, what is the logic?

"I don't think the opinion of hundreds of people on Steam will give me a good indication of whether a game is any good or not. Instead I am going to get the opinion of 4 or 5 people...on Steam. That will give me a much better idea of whether a game is any good or not"

I don't get it XD

once you grow up you will, if you do of course.

Amusingly ironic how childish that response was.

As much as we appreciate discussion, please do keep it civil folks :)

I get what you're saying, but in this case the vast majority of reviews agree with the sentiments in this thread. Pretty, but not groundbreaking and kind of repetitive.

Those aren't necessarily bad things though and OP even said they'd get around to playing it eventually, but some of us would rather experience something new and different if we're going to pay launch prices.

just finished it and personally I loved it. Great music, great story, some parts were challenging but not to the point of being ridiculous. Some early puzzles were very easy, but a great way into learning the mechanics. I have read a lot that others think this game is too easy, but that's for them to say, we all have our own experience with platform games. Unsure if there is much replay value but I love this game, I got attached to Mui, cared about Lana, and I thought it was a beautiful game. No regrets. Plus I've even learnt something; I cannot fly robots with any degree of accuracy.
