There's a chance that Rebirth dont follow the OG FF7 Storyline hence the name, its a "What If" so you can say a sequel in alternate universe. Safe to say no one knows whats going on the new game
due to alot of returning characters you may not know, better knowing them makes it more fun
and a returning major villain
and a virus strain which is tied to another ff7 villain
as rebirth is close to the original, not the same but same major villains pretty sure
and same crew among few other things thatll click if you know who they are
It isn't exactly a remake but an alternate timeline/universe that expands the source material.
Minor spoilers for end of Remake part 1 / fan theory & Advent Children's exclusive characters.
The final area has some unique bosses that appear to reference characters from Advent Children....
FF7R appears to be an alternate timeline. There's already a decent amount that changed in Remake, let alone what might happen in Rebirth and R3.
That said, I wouldn't watch Advent Children without having played OG FFVII. It's a direct sequel to the game, and of what happens is gonna be nonsensical because a fair few of the characters (Vincent, Cait Sith, Cid) haven't been introduced in the remake games yet. Hell, by the point that Remake ends, we hadn't even seen Sephiroth yet, he wasn't even given a picture in the manual. We wouldn't get to see him until Cloud's flashback in Kalm.
If Remake was just a straight port of the FF7 story into the new gameplay? Advent Children will spoil a lot. As it is, it probably won't spoil much, but then it was made before they were even considering remaking VII, let alone "remaking" it.
To give you the same advice I give everyone worrying about spoiling themselves with the content from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII:
Remake is a new story that hasn't been finished. If you want to make sure you don't get spoiled for anything, don't play or watch anything else because it's impossible for anyone but the dev team to know for certain what is being kept and what's being reworked.
Conversely, if you want to explore everything that came before Remake hit the shelves? Play the OG, then watch Advent Children and play Crisis Core (either version, the story is unchanged in Reunion). If you're willing and able, play Dirge of Cerberus too.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Takes Place During & After the Original FFVII
Final Fantasy VII Remake earns its name by not being more than a simple retelling of the original story with modern graphics. The first episode in a three part project, FFVII Remake expands the Midgar section of the original game to the length of the first game in its entirety. It also makes significant changes to the original's story, which left some characters who died in the original alive and well in the FFVII Remake. Square Enix is playing any details about where this is going close to the vest, but that Sephiroth is actively trying to avoid his FFVII fate suggests Remake takes place after the original happened, in either an alternate timeline or universe.
