Oh no the expert is here... not. There is censorship in this game but it's selective. Tifa ugly ill-matched black sports bra, the smoke when Cloud or Sephiroth are getting impaled, and Jenova's metallic decapitated head are all forms of censorship. All of this censorship was obvious, out of place and feels forced, and would've been better without them. But there are other things that were left untouched, OP post is an example, Aerith didn't have a black sports bra to cover up her chest, and blood is still shown at end game. So it wasn't that bad imo, I still enjoyed the game despite these pointless censorship.

If someone made a mod to edit Tifa, I would find that quite disturbing.

No one did anything to Tifa, the mod just uses the flashback model, made by Square Enix. If you find that disturbung maybe you shouldn´t be playing a game rated T.
