Better than the terrible FFVIIR pc port?
I don't own the game because I am holding off after the debacle that was the Final Fantasy VII Remake pc release. I saw it released on Steam just now. How is the port/performance? Same terrible optimization and stuttering as FFVIIR?

This games performance is better then most AAA games. not had any issues what so ever

Haven't noticed any stuttering and performance is better, which is expected because it's not like it's a full remake. It's still basically a PSP game in its structure so no big or dense areas full of effects and stuff.

Performance is great, have kind of an old system with a 1070 and no hiccups or frame drops or anything.

Visuals aren't up to the level of FF7R though.

What about forced dynamic resolution scaling it was bad on the FF7 Remake thankfully you could mod it out curious if the dropped it this go around

Im playing it on my RX 570 and i've had a pretty nice 60fps stable up to now with everything at high settings/1440p and if there is any dynamic resolution, it's hardly noticeable. Just like i don't really see much of a difference on FF7R but it probably help with performance for me lol

I played on PS5 so I get a week early copy and it's 60 fps consistent... I assume it's 60fps locked in pc as well

Stutters at the train and after for me and I'm gaming with a 3080ti installed.

...What terrible optimisation for FF7R on PC? We must have been playing different games... Because mine looks and runs amazingly.

Dynamic Resolution Scaling is *specifically for optimisation*. Because not everyone's computer specs are that great, so it adjusts automatically depending on what your system can handle. That's entirely the point of it.

Nope, they released a post on social media with every platform's specs. PC is 120fps, modern consoles are 60fps and Switch is 30fps (if I'm not mistaken?)

I mean its a remastered psp game the only big change is graphics you dont have cities, npcs or a lot of movement around
It would be insulting if it was working badly
WhiteExperience Dec 13, 2022 @ 10:30pm
I'm playing at 120 FPS with no stutters or problems.

120FPS and no problems, playing on GTX 1080. I expected it to be way worse but I'm satisfied.

And thats why PC games have (or at least usually have) in depth graphics options to allow you to set the settings to perform what your own hardware can handle.
There's no reason dynamic resolution, nor any other setting, should be forced on with no option to disable besides resorting to mods.

Also in FF7R its a widely known and well documented problem and common issue for the majority of pc players to have very micro-stuttering in the slums and other areas, independent of what hardware people have. That's great you didnt't have issues but for the vast majority of us we did.
