Why does Tifa in this Remake version look worse than the Original PSP version? Tifa's outfit is bland and is lacking in detail in this Remake, detail that's there in the original PSP version. Tifa is also lacking her abs in this Remake she had in the original and she has more of a tan while in every other depiction of her shows her skin as pale. She outright looks like s*** compared to how she looked on PSP. That's what this is about.
Let's not be dishonest here. Censorship isn't just about suppression of speech, public communication, or other information. As someone mentioned before, this is censorship of art.
Tifa is a woman with a big bust as an adult. Women who have an authentic big bust as adults are also well endowed when they are 15 too. I've known girls in high school who were well endowed even at 15 years of age (even at 14). Therefore, it's more realistic for Tifa to be well endowed even at 15. That's continuity.
If Tifa were 12 during that sequence, then it would be more realistic for her to be that flat. But at 15? This is just body-shaming well-endowed fit women.
Those Justice Acts only apply to pornographic material of children (excluding lewd loli and shota material apparently) and have absolutely nothing to do with Tifa being well-endowed, wearing her PSP cowgirl outfit, and having abs at 15 yo considering it's not pornographic material.
You're outing yourself as nothing more than a dishonest, censorship apologist. What skeletons do you have in your closet to be virtue signaling this censorship garbage?
In an interview with Japanese gaming publication Famitsu, developer Square Enix said it did reduce Tifa’s breast size and explained the decision.
Tetsuya Nomura, director on the remake, says that “it was necessary to restrict her chest.” In the game, Tifa primarily fights with her fists rather than a gun or a sword. Giving her a slimmer build seemed like a logical choice for incorporating an aspect of the character’s fighting mechanics directly into her character design.
The Famitsu interview also mentions that the Square Enix ethics department determined “restricting” Tifa’s chest was necessary to prevent her from appearing “unnatural” during fight sequences. Given that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is an action role-playing game, unlike turn-based play in the original, the character models are inherently more kinetic.
In the 1997 version of Final Fantasy 7, Tifa’s proportions clearly emphasized her chest. However, this was partly due to the limited character model capabilities on the classic PlayStation’s hardware. In order to depict a “sexy woman,” features had to be overly exaggerated. Without better graphics and the nuances to character design that they can bring, we ended up with the busty Tifa in the original Final Fantasy 7.
That should explain this so called Censorship to you. Theres actual Developmental reasons behind it. Also. As far as I am aware shes ALWAYS been a 32DDD. If you google that size youll see in FF7R they actually match that. Yes as a 15yearold (the age of puberty) they are smaller. thats more realistic. Cry harder
For those against censorship, keep in mind I know who you are, you're the same pretenders who bash every Square Enix game looking for a fault to latch on to, at least be honest and admit you hate the company or FF7 and this isn't about censorship, but your own personal bias against SE. Square Enix is only partially to blame here, and not supporting isn't going to solve the problem. They are a Japanese company first and foremost, but their hand is forced to look elsewhere since Japan is not longer sustainable, and Sony betrayed Japan for western values. So in order to adapt, blame Sony or even more appropriately western woke culture for forcing SE hand or Japan for that matter or face bankruptcy.
For those pro censorship, this is ridiculous and you're part of the problem. Censorship does not only apply to words, but also your eyes. No normal human being should be ok with being controlled with what they say or see, we are born free, and it should stay that way, stop listening to your dictator overlords. This isn't about Tifa cleavage, not once did I care or make a big deal about such a ridiculous thing, until now which has been pointed out (keep a note this was never an issue in the past), and I still think it's stupid and silly. No one in their right mind is going to be staring down Tifa polygonal pixels which is essential a drawn line that is supposed to represent the definition of a partial cleavage and be like this is going too far, in real life teenage girls show far more skin at schools, church or anywhere else. This is about pushing the boundaries of control to see how much they can dictate on what you can see that they deem acceptable, it's a messed up narrative that no one in their right mind should support it, period.
It's not only Square Enix, all the companies are like them. Valve included, this is why they lock threads about censorship.
Every single videogame released this year is altered during developement to fits the woke propaganda.
Weird people want women to look like men now, sad times
I love that they find a term for each category of people. Totally excluding the fact that we are all the same. Psychotherapists make a lot of money because of them loving fragmentation.
Shame on anyone who ends up giving square money for this.
Every single one huh?
From japanese developers, yes.
I'm referring to videogames released on mainstream platforms, Steam included.
Not DMM or DLSite lol
Virtue signal harder sir righteous
Every single Japanese-developed game on Steam, PS, Xbox and Switch has been 'altered during developement to fits the woke propaganda.'? You don't even realize how insane that sounds?
"Virtue signalling, Noun. the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue."
Yes because experessing opinions against sexualising a 15yearold game character is bad.
Calling someone "sir righteous" because he dosnt share your quite disturbing views on loli culture is absolutely what a debate is all about.
