Unable to save progress

Is anyone else having issues saving the game? Even after I change graphics options, a message pops up saying "Unable to save, an error has occurred" I cannot save my progress as all which is a pain.

This is usually called by firewall or windows security, tho i heard this works.

"In Windows search for Controlled Folder Access. There click allow app through controlled folder access and find the game and give it permission. It should show up as recently blocked."

I'm having the same issue and have disabled my AV software and it's still not working.

Just resolved the issue. I have an encrypted drive as a secondary storage device not used for gaming at all. For some reason, unless I mount my encrypted drive, I cannot save the game or access my saves.... Even though the save data is not stored on my encrypted drive.

Yep, was the windows controlled access folder, just had to allow access.

So I allowed the game through the firewall and made the fine run on admin but the game still give me the saving error or it does not show but let's the save happen then backing out the save menu and going back to save. The save file is gone. Not sure what to do at this point

Another cause is make sure the folder is not "Read Only" which is a Windows setting.

Sorry for resurrecting this dead thread, but I’ve done all the previous steps, allowing it in Defender Firewall AND Controlled Folder Access, AND made sure the CCFF7R folder from the common folder had “Read-Only” unchecked and STILL have the unable to save error. Cannot start a new game either.

Does anyone have a possible solution?
