Controller Problem (BUG) ?

When i equipped some spells it only use the spells, i cannot heal with pots, basic attack or even dodge, anyone have the same Problem ? It shows using materia with LB + X (Ps4) Controller but it still using the spells doesnt matter if i press LB or not

Little Update : I tried it now with my "Originial Ps4 Controller" and now its works for me, kinda weird

my Nacon controller has the issue, while my DS4 runs it without any problem.

@DarkshadowBe First i used an aftermarket controller, the buttons were playtation designed. Today i used my Original Controller from my Ps4 and the problem was solved idk why but now i can play normally

Yeah my Nacon PS4 controller is the one that doesn't work. Oh well nothing I can do about it...

So after a Couple days this seems to be happening for me anytime i alt tab out of game for any reason the glitch will activate if i alt tab again and go back into game it is then fixed.
This is irregardless of what type of controller, stands for my ps4 ps5 and xbox core controllers. i don't own off brand tho so can't test that.

happens to me occasionally, especially on launching. just keep alt+tab until it stops

Why isn't this fixed yet ? Half of the buttons of my ps5 gamepad works and half only work on keyboard , what is this travesty ?

Pretty much same here. Not sure what to do. I really want to play this game so this sucks

Steam input issue, I'm using a DS4 controller as well. Fix this by turning steam input off and then set DS4Windows to emulate the controller as a DS4 controller.

I was having the same issue so if this helps anyone, it's a bug if you alt tab out of the game, you just have to alt tab back out and into the game and it should fix it. My guess is tab is the control that lets you use materia so when you alt tab it's just stuck on materia.

no issues here xbox one controller. note i have NO configs set up on steam big picture, worth check controller settings in there and untick everything! and delete any profiles, mine just a tick at the top option in controller settings, helped with previous games that had these issues.
