I've tried opening the exe and that just takes me to the game, I've tried scanning for music in the settings and that just pissed out all the music on my pc. I'll keep digging around for the answer though.
You can only access them in the app. If you are clicking on the CCFF7R_DigiCont.exe then it's not launching the game, it's launching the digital contents app where you view the artwork and listen to the music tracks.
I'm clicking on CCFF7R_DigiCont.exe and a warning pops up about is this what I want to do. I say yes. It then takes me to the actual game and I can load up my save file and everything. I even tried CCFF7R_DigiCont-Win64-Shipping.exe and it does the same thing. I can't find any evidence of the artbooks or music in any options.
Sorry if I'm being a dunce, I've not done this sort of thing through Steam and I've tried following the support on the game's page to find the music and scan the folder to get the music to play through the steam player, logical stuff.
Investigating further and I am now experiencing exactly what you described. This hasn't happened before now, I've been able to launch the digital contents app with that .exe many times previously. There was a Steam database issue earlier preventing people from downloading the digital contents earlier and a fix was pushed out pretty quickly but that may have broken something else in regards to the .exe.
I am able to launch it normally through Steam however. From your Library page in Steam, go to Crisis Core Reunion and click Play. It should give you an option to launch either the game or the digital contents.
Perfect, this worked for me. I'd have found it sooner or later when I next played the game.
They got it right with the pixel remasters. SE always finds a way to disappoint.
Get it!! Thanks!
