I link it because that works on other games as well.
Do the same thing on Crisis Core.

Disable the Steam input and you might get Playstation prompts.

That just disables the controller altogether on my end.

So basically SE is forcing everyone who has either dualshock or dualsense controllers to play with mouse and keyboard? Or buy a xbox controller?
How many damn controllers do we have to buy to be able to play games without issues?

I had a spare controller which is a ps5 controller and this one works. Still my Nacon PS4 just has wrong button inputs and isn't even recognized in the game at all because I get K&M prompts.

Using a wireless xbox series controller I can see the buttons in the menu, but ingame everything shows keyboard shortcuts. Buttons also don't seem to do what the menu says.

same issue here, bumping for visibility

edit: actually, now that i'm paying attention, i cannot "attack" normally. when i hit a (xbox) or x (ps5, tried both) i'll always do the skill attached to the materia menu instead of attacking normally

How did they manage to screw up all the controller settings so badly?
At first I tought it was only ps4-ps5 controllers since they use another kind of input but you guys are saying not even the xbox controller work properly.

I have exactly the same darn issue there and I don't know why! *shrugs* How could they ♥♥♥♥ up a game so much at launch...?

Same issue here. Big picture model didn't help. This is very frustrating, especially I cant regular attack using controller

I'm playing with an 8BitDo Pro 2, and it shows the goofy backwards XBox buttons, which breaks my Super Nintendo brain. Why can't there be a button style option in every one of these games? Looking forward to the mod that allows customizing this to show playstation buttons where it's unambiguous. It's especially strange considering how married SquareEnix/Final Fantasy is with Playstation, you'd think it would always be an option in their games.

When I'm raw using my Dualshock 4 it doesn't recognize it. when i use DS4 Windows it recognizes the controller but has MKB buttons on screen and the inputs are all buggy. I hit square (X) and it does LB + X instead.
