Does this game have online coop?

If me and my gf get this game will we be able to play together ONLINE, not locally.

Yes, it does!
You can play both locally and online. Using the build-in online system (you'll need 2 copies of the game) or the Steam Remote Play (only one copy needed)

What problems are you experiencing?

Since I am here I wouyld like to share my experience on this. For remote play it is hard to understand which player has which controls. The ready screen sometimes only picks up your own input, which let it looks like the other cannot control the character. Sometimes that is actually the case, but sometimes it is just not understandable who is using keyboard and who is using controller. Sometimes you both have to use the keyboard although you checked in with controller. Maybe this could be shown better, it can take quite a time to figure out the controls this way

Just bought it to play online and we really cannot join the game. So disappointing

I played this game with someone online, so yes, you can do it. I don't know about what problems other people had, we used Remote Play on Steam.
