What is Treasures of the Aegean?

Treasures of the Aegean is a time-loop action adventure, which combines parkour with a historically rich narrative, hand drawn European comic style graphics and a 2D open world with tons of treasures to discover.

You take the role of treasure hunter and parkour expert Marie, who, aided by his business partner James, searches for the lost tomb of King Minos in a ghost island. But the Thera volcano is about to explode and the island is going to disappear in a matter of minutes...

• Explore a 2D open world: Discover the wonders of an island which was lost to the sea several millenia ago, as you visit the ruins of the most advanced and mysterious of classic civilizations.
  
• Swift parkour action: Run, jump, climb walls, swing on vines, surf slopes... overcome the challenges of a rough terrain, without loosing your momentum. Speed is the key to survive!
  
• Time loop narrative: Time is ticking, the island is sinking... but a loop hole keeps bringing you to the island. The back stories of the characters unfold as loop progress is made.
  
• Unlock the Mysteries of the Minoan: Why were the Minoan so advanced to their time? Solve the complex riddles and puzzles they left behind, to understand their fate and stop the time-loop.
  
• Complete the prophecy: Search every corner of the island, chart the map and collect all the clues and artifacts that will lead you to complete the Minoan Prophecy!

Is Treasures of the Aegean a classic Metroidvania?

While exploration, puzzle-solving and item collecting are core to the experience Treaures of the Aegean, there's no combat or leveling systems as in classic Metroidvania games.

When is Treasure of the Aegean releasing?

Treasures of the Aegean will be available on Q4 2021.

How does the time-loop work?

The island will explode in a limited amount of minutes, but, due to a loop hole in time, Marie will find herself returning to the island. Information gathered in the previous loop will prevail on both the interactive map and the Prophecy.

What is European comic style?

Treasures of the Aegean's art style is inspired in classic European adventure comic books, such as The Adventures of Tin Tin, Spirou and Asterix. All the game's graphics and illustrations have been hand-drawn by our artists.

Which resolutions are supported?

All the game graphics have been hand-drawn in 4K, so that's the maximum resolution supported where available.

Which controls are supported?

The game supports both keyboard and a wide array of gamepads with rumble. Xbox PlayStation and Switch controllers have been tested to work correctly.

Are there multiple save slots?

Yes, the game gives you 3 different slots to save your adventure. These can be changed from the main menu.

Is the game historically accurate?

Treasures of the Aegean is based on the historical events of the Thera Eruption in the Aegean sea and takes Minoan history and classic Greek Mythology as a base to create a work of fiction.

Who is developing this game?

Treasures of the Aegean is developed by Undercoders, an indie studio from Barcelona, Spain. Previous works from this team include Conga Master, Mail Mole and SuperEpic.

I'm sorry if this is slighty off-topic. I've noticed that the PS5 version doesn't seem to support controller vibration (rumble). Is it different than the other versions ?
