So your new game will always be compared to another or even a current game being played.
So when you lock characters behind a slot machine, don't fix bugs fast enough, or lack content, then don't expect people to stick around. We all have other games we can be playing.
because when i played active the game had around 10-30k active that held for atleast 3-4 weeks
the leakers made it even harder for the game
many players were annoyed too because of the bakugo meta
to revive the game a big streamer must stream it or they advertise it really good with something
I had so much fun with Dragon Ball The Breakers when it released. The gacha was indeed a big red flag. Especially when it isn't even free to play. I think it was $20 on release. I played it almost every day until they announced that the Season 2 Raider, Saibamen/Nappa/Vegeta, wasn't going to be free. That was the last straw. I uninstalled, and hid it from my library so I don't have to look at it again. I grew up in a time where multiplayer games let you REASONABLY earn new characters, skins, and other things just by playing the campaign, playing matches, or completing challenges. I was fine paying a full $60 back then, and maybe another $15-$20 for big dlcs/expansions. So many games nowadays release unfinished and have content already developed gate kept from you unless you buy the $79.99 or $99.99 'legendary' editions. When I feel like these game companies are trying to manipulate me into spending more money with their scummy tactics I downvote if I can and move on. Mhur so far has been the most generous gacha game I've played. Plus it's really fun. So I stuck around. But now it's at the end of its short lived life because a multitude of reasons we're all too aware of.
