Burn out is poorly executed.

While the debuff makes sense mechanically and adds a level of planning for when to use it, not being able to do literally anything for almost 5 seconds afterwards is too punishing. Once activated you can't cancel it to prevent burn out, meaning there's no strategy on how to go about using it. You either use it or you don't. If you do you're just sad when it runs out mid fight or your team is 1 man down while you wait for burnout to be over. And if you don't well then that's just 1 less ability you have while everyone is using all 3 of theirs.

Well IIda is not about Team Fighting, he's about picking on solo targets and carrying teammates to safety

That's a valid point, but there shouldn't be a time when I can't do anything. He can't even basic attack. So there's no way to even defend myself.

This TBH, he is definitely a hit and run character, better to save teammates and isolating people, though the best way to handle the burn out is to just dodge over and over til you can run again

Max out his skill 2 (skill Q) then just hit and run :)

all his skills have knock back so if your teammates are smart they will attack the person you knock down.

his 3rd skill is best used to run away, dont fight while its active not worth the risk

All replies are valid things to do but that's not the focus of the point I'm making. Even if I were to use it to run away.
1 IF there just so happens to be someone there or a team I just have to be sad
2 Projectiles have way too much range. Especially deku and bakugo.

i feel like ida still be able roll at full speed thoXD

I feel like Rapid characters (like Iida) want to get in, deal burst damage, then get back out or pick on an escaping target. Iida embraces that philosophy perfectly with his speed up. Pick your battles carefully and see if your teammates can get an advantage with you attacking a high value target (STRIKERS, looking at you Bakugo).

No when burnt out even his roll is slow. Not to mention the little run in place he does before his boost
Chappie Oct 2, 2023 @ 8:26pm
i said feel like he SHOULD roll at normal speed cuz that has nothing to do with his super power

Oh, alright yea

The burnout debuff needs to be looked at. The slow is fine and not being able to use skills makes sense, even not being able to sprint is good. But he needs to be able to roll at normal speed, walk at normal speed, and use basic attacks.
