Being able to counter a character doesn’t mean they don’t need a nerf.
Froppy’s damage numbers are higher than Iida’s , and she retains faster and easier vertical mobility on the field.
While their special actions are very similar , froppy is able to perform hers from a distance , and without an animation. On the other hand , Ingenium has to first get close/ find a way to knock nearby opponents away in order to safely grab you on his shoulder. After that , he has to pray that nothing knocks him up during the carrying process , or he can immediately drop the ally on the spot in an unsafe area.
Froppy can deal damage at range, too , and has an easier time confirming downed targets due to her full combo (3x alpha, jump , 2x Beta) compared to ingenium.
Nerfing a character should not be done because they are too oppressive. It has to be done to even the playing field and not make people pick that character over another just because they are easier to play.
Edit: the way I see it: her special ability should only move a downed ally to her location, they can even buff the activation range. However it should not be an insta-revive. That is the job of support characters. Her damage numbers can stay the same.
But with asui immediately resurrecting downed teammates, that becomes harder to pull off. You have to weight the risk of downing someone while asui is nearby, but you cannot fully focus on her, or her team will blast you.
I’d love for her R to be able to pull someone away from a very long distance , like she does in the anime. Then she’s free to use 3 seconds to revive her team, while others are free to use this time to heal up a bit.
Fair trade off!
It's just a question, I'm main asui lol
Her dps is rather low, but you are often in control of the situations..
I like her but would understand a debuff on her alpha quirk one less use or maybe longer cooldown so she can more easily be followed by an enemy
