HI,
This is the new post-release wishlist.

Several ideas from the Old Wishlist have been implemented, but others have not.
We will continue to work on the game, so if you have wishes that did not get implemented at release feel free to post them in this new wishlist.

Also you might get new good ideas when trying out CoE5.

I mildly (maybe ~10%) agree with that.
But I already solve it myself, in-game.
  • Never left-click for AI paths. Always use numeric keypad.
  • Manually track the season, every single turn.
    • Early and Middle Winter are 100% safe
    • Late Winter is dangerous in the Spring-melt zone
    • Early and Middle Spring are 100% safe
    • Late Spring is dangerous in the Summer-melt zone
    • The extreme north is 100% safe year-round
  • Infinite save/quit/load, and save 1-4 times per turn.
N.B. I play Enormous 7-11 Marquis or King.
They get bonuses, I get prescience :steammocking:
I reload to dodge BVR kills and price-check big fights (or just watch them).
I don't reload for RNG like Create Artifacts junk or poor ritual order.

Then the AIs and I mutually explore whether any path to a win is viable.
Even with reloads, 11 Marquis aren't trivial. I don't care about playing Ironman.

My only ice-melt losses are when I choose to walk on ice, know it's Late Winter,
but I'm guessing this tile is just north of the Spring-melt zone, and I'm wrong.
Shrug, reload. I already reload 200 times vs. 11 Marquis, what's 1 more.
Seasonal Recruitment
-All independent Green offers are offered at the start of every season and remain until the season ends or they are hired.

@Gilmoy Nah, I'm not going to use the keypad to move lol. It's a map game, not Starcraft, I'm using my mouse, what do you expect ?

I also don't savescum, so randomly losing stuff means they're lost, as obviously I'm not losing 2h of play just to save one army. Or two.

Tracking seasons doesn't help because the post is litterally about the pathfinding ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over.

It is sad that Monkey Maharaja can only recruit extra expensive cloudfolk in cloud cities and beanstalk castles. Especially because Monkey Maharaja has plenty of summons with celestial theme - so what's the point of going to the sky? Mostly for extra income.

Flying Monkeys would make a fine special recruit for Monkey Maharaja in Sky citadels.
Make curse act as a horror mark for troll king's free spawn, carrion stalkers, beasts, and manakins will spend 3-4 ap to attack nearby cursed enemies, which troll king can apply by sacrificing a troll or goblin caster to apply it.
Monkey Maharaja should get a tier 1(lesser) ritual that locates magical items. Reasons:
Akashic summons, especially Lesser Akashic Summon, are inefficient. They do provide nice bodies, but those bodies are often under-equipped. Some are equipped well enough, but are suicidal (flying Garuda, Marut General, Rudra). Aside from very occassional need for a better item platform, I can only imagine using Lesser Akashic Summon much if I have a Rishi with the level 3 "paralyze battlefield" spell.
Those skinnyfat monkey summons are sacred in Dominions, and without the sacred status they're losing a lot of their charm.
The celestial monkey summons already have a magic item theme. Most of them have magic weapons, some have many hands and multiple magic weapons. A ritual to locate more magic items would fit. Monkeys also have some divination theme(akashic records).
At the same time, creating magical items is Enchanter's domain, and a ritual that supplies them on another class needs to be weaker and more limited than creation.

Illusionist

1) Please allow Floating Eyes to cross into Desert terrain or out of it. Currently, I have 15 Floating Eyes on an Enormous map, that are stuck in the six tiles surrounding the Crystal Palace. The terrain is Savanna Hills, a Coal Mine and an Oasis. Beyond that are Desert tiles, which the Floating Eyes will not enter.

Additional: If a Floating Eye is created in a Desert tile, it will move about the Desert, but it won't cross into other terrain tiles or settlement features, like Desert Villages or Desert Gem Deposits. A Floating Eye created in a Desert Village will remain in that settlement, if it is surrounded by Desert tiles.

2) Please add a blue vertical bar on the right side of the mirror tiles (opposite the red health bar on the left side), to indicate the number of images present in a mirror. The blue bar would diminish, as the captured images are depleted. Right clicking on a mirror and using the tooltip to check the Stored Images is a tedious task. A visual representation of the Stored Images on the mirror tile would improve QoL.

3) Please make the small mirrors look different to the tall large mirrors. A small mirror could have a simple round shape, to help distinguish it from the larger mirrors. It is particularly frustrating to see the same icon for 2 different mirrors in the ritual panel. A player can not see the difference between a large and small mirror, easily, in the ritual panel and requires a tooltip to show the difference.

Special recruit - Bandit Leader. Sometimes show up when you flag Bandit Camp. Stealthy. When you move a bandit leader into a tile, it becomes unclaimed and neutral. This would make it possible to do stealthy raids that don't look like a player was involved.
Troll king faction desperately lacks a way to spend all of it's gold and iron due to limited recruitment.


Could either give troll king the ability to recruit armored ogres and goblins from forge citadels every turn, similar to dryad queen.

Or add another version of call of the old forest that eats large human settlements to produce manakin freespawn.

More info on a wikipedia, More tips and tricks, quit to menu, a faction that focuses on building example cities and mining out gold etc would be nice.
Option to burn ant hills would be nice,
When creating new game option to adjust map more and events, strenght of enemies and such,
a difficult where the ai and wild onces are not fighting you every possible second, Something more peacefull where you actually can go and explore the deept of the game.

more gold mines and silver mines as the enchanter golems that come from them are by far not worth the price iron clay onyx and gold and somewhat oak are not worth the bitter price of what they cost they are to bad of units.
artifacts that make you able to go into the void,
more ap artifacts,

AND PLEASE make the pathfinding not want to go onto ice in late winter so they all draw, what ever you do please remove this feature.

Troll Magic could use a powerful spell or two, that has 1 affliction as an extra casting cost. It's interesting from balance point of view - those spells wouldn't be spammable, because it would take a few months to heal. Trolls are sturdy and could just endure most battlefield wipe spells. Damaging themselves wouldn't really be a cost for trolls. Thematically, I like it because troll mages could push their bodies to unthinkable limits, and it's something even stupid trolls could discover easily.

AI could use simple logic for using these spells: always disable them at the end of turn and choose something else. So AI would only use them when attacking someone. This is needed because otherwise you could bait affliction spells with weak attacks, and harass troll mages in a cheesy way.

add something like the mod "Raise Levis"
Diplomacy, able to donate stuff to other players,
bystander ai or something like that,
more rituals for all ritual casters,

Donation settings would be nice for game creation. (Being able to trade resources with allies).

Rebindable keys.

My centre mouse button is annoying as hell to hold down.

Also let us scroll with wasd if we want.

And bind whatever to next hero and end turn as n and y make no sense...

And missing tooltips for many things like item properties when you are buying them...
