Thanks, I forgot to mention that. I don't know the exact way it works either. Thanks for posting those numbers, interesting to see.
As for the hp discrepancy between different units, yes, there is definitely something here and it does seem to correlate with existing max hp.
Also that discrepancy exists with the very first +hp bless, but apparently doesn't get bigger with more +hp.
I think illwinter made only the first hp bless scale with max hp so it doesnt result in somewhat limited exponential health growth.
not too long ago i had a pvp game where the enemy team surrendered because the scourge lord player maxed out their blessing and didnt get regeneration, so seeing this here i figured id do a rough estimate of the chance of rolling regeneration atleast once if you roll 20 times (ignoring the fact that some competing rolls will become eliminated when maxed out)
I think its less than a 19% chance for a scourge lord to not get regeneration ( >81% to get it) which makes it happening very funny, extremely resource hungry late game class that either becomes unstoppable late game or remains weak lol.
I'm not entirely sure how Magic Tattoos interacts with Blessing/Dark Blessing. But if you haven't seen it before, Magic Tattoos are tracked along with Blessing and Dark Blessing. This means any unit with Magic Tattoo, Blessed, or Dark Blessing get any and all bonuses from each other.
With Blessing and Dark Blessing, for shared traits the higher of the two stat caps will be tracked. For example, if you raise Strength through Blessing it will cap at 2, but if you then use Dark Blessing it can go to 4. If you already raised Strength through Dark Blessing above 2, then Blessing can't raise it since it is passed the cap Blessing has.
In other words: if you have the time, patience, and resources, you can get the best of the combined Blessing and Dark Blessing. I'm sure some reading this already knew that, but the two will work together perfectly fine.
Magic Tattoos are a little weird. Most stats stack like Blessed and Dark Blessing, so you'll still have the same total caps. But Hit Points from tattoos are a separate trait. So you'll see something like this:
So you'll get 33 HP (edit: I think? After typing this I realized I forgot to double check before closing the game). 31 from using Blessing/Dark Blessing and 2 from using Magic Tattoo.
Also, the tattoo that unlock Pierce and Slash Resistance unlock at the same time. I think this may create a tracking issue of some sort. If you already have Pierce Resistance from Blessed, then you won't get the Slash Resistance from the tattoo. But if you unlock the tattoo first, you'll get both Pierce and Slash resistance.
If you are somehow in a scenario where you have the ability to use all 3 types of blessings, its seems like it beneficial to use the tattoos first, then blessing/dark blessing. This would get you Slash Resistance, then Blessed, and then Dark Blessing last to maximize the 20 times you can use the ritual.
Interesting. So it caps at 81 regardless? I guess I must have stopped at some point before that. I know went significantly above the 51 HP of blessing, and just assumed there was no limit, or 128, or something so high as not to bother.
As I said in my original post (which I just edited out), Dark Blessing HPs scales up to the limits of your patience... I guess you found out my patience didn't reach 81!
I can't test myself at this time, I trust your word on it. I'll edit the above posts.
