this change everything, from where do we get this info ?
It was in this patch that they changed the way armor works to the way it is currently
My take on it is as follows (I have followed the game since day 1 Early Access):
The 'power' value you see on the unit is a measure on a scale... it is representative, it is not literally how much damage they do, rather it represents how much damage they do relative to a different unit with a different value. The higher that value is, the more damage it does, adjusted by attack speed and mitigated by target armor
The higher the target armor value, the higher the mitigation effect... that said, there are some units that have an inherent trait or an armory upgrade that affects target armor ('anti-armor' type units... units you would specifically use to counter units with high armor)
+Armor on your units is definitely not useless. You see the benefit of it much more in larger fights (fights involving more units) and longer fights (fights that go on longer than 20-30 seconds)
+Health on units is arguably better (since this is not mitigated by effects that affect armor)... having both is probably the best (and as much of both as possible)
I have not seen specific information elsewhere detailing specs like "this unit does this much damage per second" they just give it all as a value, same as armor. I also have not seen any official explanation as far as, is the power value on a given unit an amount of damage it does over some certain amount of time (like say over ten seconds)... but that is a good way to look at it. It is some amount of damage over some arbitrary amount of time and is a value you could compare with the value on other units
If someone knows where this information is please share
