Some advice is the game good?
I have been watching to see how the game is turning out. Is the game good? Thinking of buying it.

Yeah it's pretty good. If you've played Northgard, it's very similar. Should be on sale next week.

It's good but not for combat and thrilling battles, it's similar to being a board game or real time 4X. it's good for calm strategy (no clicking mania like AOE) fans with multiple ways to win the game not just by blind force. The future of this game is uncertain tho because they are not adding new features or DLCs like their other two games Wartales and Northgard.

So there is not DLC's coming to this game?
StormRangerX Dec 15, 2024 @ 1:47pm
I wouldn't say never. They added a few factions for free over the course of early access and just put out the Ix DLC this year, along with a recent major update.

Okay, so I have played the original Dune that was on DOS, also Dune games that were base building like command and conquer. Is this game similar?
StormRangerX Dec 15, 2024 @ 1:57pm
No, it's a very unorthodox RTS. It's closer to city-building strategy games, just in real-time.

okay understand. City building with less emphasis on combat?
StormRangerX Dec 15, 2024 @ 2:06pm
There's still plenty of combat but there's many other win conditions as well. It's possible to win without ever getting into combat.

okay thank you. You said this game should be on sale next week?

It's not RTS like C&C and it's 100% not city builder at all nor a Political sim game, it's a new mix of different Genres the gameplay is kinda slow I have never seen similar game to it to give you an example but it looks like their previous game Northgard with very similar mechanics and animations. Watch youtube reviews about it and decide if you like this type of a game. for me it's good for long replayability because the procedural generation and thoughtful ways to beat opponents but it doesn't get you excited or addicted because of the SLOW mechanics and absence of action in combat (it's just put there) + diplomacy is very simple for a DUNE lore with all the shenanigans it has.

Hard choice I know we all been there before buying it, but if you will buy it remember that the game is in the phase of uncertainty because they are not adding any content to it, this game might be done in development with currently 0 communications about future plans from devs which usually confirms that a game is done from receiving support.

Yeah its really good if you like shorter 4X or paradox games. If you are looking for something like starcraft you will be disappointing

In my opinion it is A Lot better than paradox spreadsheets.

This game is solid and fun but a lot of people some find it too complex to their liking.

It is good the only downside is the bad performance in the late game
