I play on a similar size monitor, 1920x1080 and I can read the small text fine even on the default setting (which I admit is very small, but I would rather the text take up less space on the screen... I can still read it just fine)
I get that people do have issues with this, but it has been addressed more than once and there are solutions in game
I think you just have not played with all the options in the Options -> Accessibility menu to try and fix your issue
There is also the magnifier which I have not used personally but they put that in to specifically address this - if changing the Minimum Font Size doesn't fix your issue then I suggest trying the magnifier
To be fair, they don't patch the game about every other day, either - its about every week which is normal - you can monitor patches here
https://steamdb.info/app/1605220/patchnotes/
You can see for yourself, it is pretty regular, a *weekly* patch routine... which again is entirely normal
So I mean damn, what is up with all this hyperbole and exaggeration?
You sound frustrated... I get it
Why are you defending an obvious flaw in this game's basic settings and user inteface design that has been addressed in so many other games?
Paradox had this same problem with EUIV and many of their other games, they fixed it, they added a UI slider, they optimized their games so that people could see it in higher resolutions.
These are OLD games I'm talking about, developed way before 2023.
Even Stellaris has a UI slider, this game is not optimized for the offered resolutions.
When I changed the game from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080 the text stays the same size!
No, I've seen this many times in other games and I know exactly what it is and I know what I'm asking for. It's not impossible, it's a severe quality of life simple oversight and it should be addressed immediately and I've asked them before when the game first came out.
I shouldn't have to do anything with my Windows settings. if I had a handicap, a vision impairment but that's just not the case, I wouldn't bother mentioning the issue because it would only be my problem.
When I run into this issue in a game it really pisses me off and if I could I'd just refund it and forget about it and then never buy another game from them.
Paradox is one of my favorite developers and I've been playing their games for a long time on older rigs (lower resolutions), so I figured they would get around to addressing the tiny font issues when I changed out monitors over the years in some of their games and that is exactly what they did over time.
As for all of the updates for this game, I see updates practically every week. Every time I log into STEAM. If the developer is working on the game so diligently, then why not just toss in a UI slider so people that cannot read the tiny text can read it and actually play the game.
This game is HEAVILY text dependent. HEAVILY. You can't enjoy it if you are sitting there squinting or holding up a magnifier to the monitor and you shouldn't have to anyway if you have a TWENTY SEVEN INCH MONITOR.
It should be plenty. I can read this text fine and it's at the native resolution so wtf is the problem bro?
It's not a big deal unless they make it a big deal and that's exactly what you are doing.
Alright, maybe I was not clear
Go IN THE GAME and go to Options -> Accessibility
And go to the bottom of the options where there is a SLIDER to select Minimum Font Size
---
It's not a Windows setting I am talking about, I am talking about a feature IN THE GAME
---
There is no problem, bro, I am just trying to help you
In less time than it would have taken you to write those two walls of text you could have found the solution that is already IN THE GAME
Good luck conquering Arrakis, bro
This is a chat font slider not a UI one.
I tested it multiple times- it changes the font size in the UI
You can make it ridiculously big if you so desire, it is still playable this way too (albeit you have less screen space to see what you're doing)
The option of which I am speaking is below the one you can set for the chat font... all the way at the bottom of the options
I suggest you go ahead and test all of them before you come to a conclusion
