So what's the verdict on the Fremen campaign?
Just started playing it on easy, definitely some adjusting to do with no Landsraad. Not sure why political victory is an option when it isn't. Thoughts?

im interested, in how op reciving all early tech at the start of every mission will snowball fremen early game supremacy.

you probably should have upped the difficulty, your going to get board

my first mission, no spice and you trade fuel cells for solarii, and THEY CANT MAKE FUEL CELLS, these missions need to be removed or changed for freemen, like trade water for solarii

one of the biggest faction features will revolve around deep deserts, giving 20% authority and tripling village bonuses, and many maps, the small ones dont have deserts, but not a big deal

the many things that give landsraad standing that you cant benefit from

also a small problem, DONT take the mission reward that gives all level 1 technologies, if you take it then you dont get the +60 rep for sietches

apart from all that, a good speed run faction, take all the liberation benefits and you can just liberate from the start, playing on insane and its really easy, stealthed infiltrators with the stealth leader can zoom around with +40-60% movespeed, it feels like playing in fast forward

Lost on second mission for some reason because the game lied about how much time I had actually left when defeating the enemy. It claimed I had time till 30.12 but the game ended at 1.12 from defeat.

Pretty sure you can still win by being Consul of a map, you just have to ally with (nearly?) every Sietch and control X# of tiles. You can do this shockingly quickly using Stilgar, with the caveat that you still have to get any Aggressive Sietches on-side (by going around the map whackin' 'em) - which you can do pretty quickly using Chani's speed-buff and associated Stealth-providing techs.

Actually getting elected to the position is probably a bit trickier, though you can get quite a lot of max Influence from the tech that gives you +50 max influence per allied Sietch and the HQ set bonus.

They don't have air transport, so rally point only work on main base, which mean you can't drop units to defend somewhere far away, you can only ride worm but if that place don't get sand you basically lost that zone to whoever attack it...

So far during my smuggling conquest i've seen a spice harvester only Once.
Ngl, all these "sell authority/plascrete/manpower" sheninangans don't rub me in the right way.
Why? Just Why? Spice harvesting is the Baseline of Dune universe!
The Spice MUST Flow!
Nothing wrong with some Spice, ask Guild Navigators!

If i did not wanted to harvest me some spice i would not have had played thid game in the first place.

worm riding is really good though, i think its considered a friendly zone so you can use it to heal troops, without needing to bring them home to heal or refill supply. combine with the +30% hp regen building

they both harvest spice so im not sure what your point is, the fact they can harvest it in neutral zones and the smugglers can steal it, offer more ways to get spice.
--------
(ahh the sell resources missions seem far too common now, i get your point)

I can test this out in the game, but the charters require a certain amount of Landsraad standing and Fremen don't have any, so how can they qualify? Influence isn't a problem as you say.

I'm hearing the way Fremen military can work, I think I'm not using them correctly right now. Has anyone been able to take down a main base on a map to pursue domination victory? I'm thinking with the Reverend Mother advisor it's possible as you can make so much intelligence that you can keep using the missions that lower the bases power and armour, but Fremen troops seem to get killed by missiles super quickly.

It seem like the only option is to wait for punisher troop (those with launcher) in Landsraad and yes, using those intelligence as well. I playing Freman conquest with Corrino and it painful with those two bases...

a simple way to deal with any base with any faction, is use ranged units in this case mobile turrets with one skirmisher, to reduce armor, then use one unit, can be anything but high armor/hp is better (even the hero unit is good for this) to run in and take all the base's attacks, the base only ever attacks the closest target, when this guy dies or gets low hp, you send in another one.

if you dont want to use this cheesy strategy, id recommend taking a region near the base, build the military building that gives -20% damage, use all the spy missions for bases, and use fedaykin, they ignore half the enemy armor, and bases have high armor.

Great advice, thanks so much!
